  • Patent number: 7493698
Abstract: A clamp device for a reciprocating saw is disclosed herein, which does not require the use of a tool for saw blade replacement. The main feature of the device is that two clamping blocks are pivotally mounted on a bracket and each of the clamping blocks has a tooth portion and a cam portion formed on an outer surface thereof. An elastic member is located between the bracket and the clamping blocks. A button connected to a rod, which passes through a cover plate of the bracket and includes a tooth slot for engaging with the tooth portion of the clamping block. When the rod moves in an axial direction, the two clamping blocks are brought to rotate so that the cam portion can fasten or loosen the saw blade, and thereby the saw blade can be mounted and demounted conveniently and rapidly.

  • Patent number: 7350301
Abstract: A tension-adjusting device for a chain in a chain saw comprises an adjusting assembly, a fixing base, a brake disk, a position piece and a fixing piece, wherein the adjusting assembly, the brake disk, the position piece and the fixing piece are locked together on the fixing base by a bolt. The adjusting assembly further comprises a knob, a nut, a fixing member, and an adjusting ring. An operator merely needs to rotate the knob of the adjusting assembly to drive the adjusting ring and the brake disk, such that the position piece can be moved forward and backward, thereby to attain the tension adjustment of chain.

  • Patent number: 7316299
Abstract: A brake device for a chain saw is provided, wherein a driving shaft, which passes through a brake block, a torsion spring, a driving block and a chain wheel, is assembled with a driven gear, and two ends of the torsion spring are respectively fixed to the brake block and the driving block. The driven gear is loosely fit to the brake block, and the chain wheel is fixed to the driving shaft. When the driven gear is driven to rotate, the brake block, the driving shaft and the chain wheel are brought to rotate synchronously. When a force is applied to the brake block via a brake pin, the torsion spring will deform and separate from the driving block so that the driving block fails to transmit a driving force to the brake block, and thereby the braking effect is achieved.

  • Patent number: 7290641
Abstract: A brake device for a power tool has a brake assembly, a bearing portion, a pinion and a gearbox. The brake assembly includes a brake base, a cover, a first throttle cable, a second throttle cable, a brake-activating block, a brake-guiding pillar, a brake band and a brake drum. The first throttle cable, the brake-activating block and the second throttle cable are linearly connected together in series. The brake-activating block is designed to abut against the brake-guiding pillar in a brake position and a release position, respectively. With the relative movement among the first throttle cable, the brake-activating block and the brake-guiding pillar, the abutting or separating state between the brake band and the brake drum can be easily controlled.

  • Patent number: 7114479
Abstract: An engine starting device includes a starting unit, a clutch unit and a transmission unit, all of the three units being installed on the same axle. The starting unit and the clutch unit are connected with each other by friction therebetween and the friction is applied only when the starting unit is operated in desired direction so that the starting unit and the clutch unit are co-rotated. The clutch unit is connected to the transmission unit so that the power can be directly transferred to the transmission unit. The device employs the pressure of the engine to compress the coil spring which generates a force to accelerate the speed of the engine such that the user can easily start the engine.

  • Patent number: 7100588
Abstract: A device for heightening engine efficiency is provided with a heat-insulating seat of engine having a plurality of air inlets communicable with oil-gas inlets. The air inlets are provided with a valve, and the heat-insulating seat is provided with a cam mechanism, which is connected to a carburetor control device by means of an operation piece. When the carburetor is operated to drive the cam mechanism to open the valve such that fresh air is allowed to enter into the engine, and the combustion efficiency can be thus heightened. As soon as the accelerator is stopped, the valve is closed automatically.
