    Abstract: A method of determining the disconnection location in a circuit is proposed, which can determine and analyze in a nondestructive way the region of connection failure between components in a system. A time domain reflectrometer is used to measure and store a reflected waveform of a plurality of standardized failure samples. Next, a reflected waveform of an object to be tested is then measured and recorded. Finally, the reflected waveform of the object to be tested is compared with those of the samples so as to determine the disconnection location.
