A blade includes a crown, a groove juxtaposed with the crown, and a center hole for a cutting arbor, where the crown and the groove define a relief channel. A stair-shaped, U-shaped or V-shaped blade assembly is described. In one embodiment, a notched grooved incisor blade having notches proximate to the central hole comes in contact with a mating grooved incisor blade also having a central hole. Force is applied to the mating blade to displace some of the body of the mating blade into the notches, affixing the blades together.
