    Abstract: A foreign substance inspection apparatus 1 which obtains images of a powder material with a two-dimensional camera 17 and subjects the image data outputted from the camera 17 to image processing, whereby foreign substances mixed into the powder material are detected. The foreign substance inspection apparatus 1 comprises a rotatably supported container 5 with an opening surface in a substantially horizontal state; a liftably supported lift member 7 inside the container; a drive control device for controlling rotation of the container 5 and rise and fall of the lift member 7; and a scraping plate 25 disposed on the opening surface 3 of the container 5. The two-dimensional camera 17 is located so as to obtain images of the surface of the powder material that is exposed on the opening surface 3.

    Abstract: An automatic control device includes a danger detector unit for generating a danger signal upon detection of a danger condition. A power switching unit bypasses a manual control unit of the automatic control device so as to provide a power signal from a dc power supplying unit to a driving control unit, thereby enabling the driving control unit to activate a gate driver unit for moving a roll-up gate automatically to an open position upon reception of the danger signal. The driving control unit can be used to activate an automatic brake mechanism, an automatic door opening mechanism or both when the automatic control device is installed in an automobile.

    Abstract: An emergency escape device for a building wall includes an emergency door mechanism and a control assembly. The emergency door mechanism includes a door panel, a ladder, a rigid support arm and a driving assembly. The door panel is mounted pivotally on the wall and is movable relative to the wall between a closed position, wherein the door panel is flush with the wall, and an open position, wherein the door panel is perpendicular to the wall. The ladder has an upper end which is connected pivotally to the upper end of the door panel and a lower end which extends to the ground surface when the door panel is located in the open position. The support arm is mounted pivotally on the wall below the lower end of the door panel at one end and is connected pivotally to the ladder at the other end thereof so as to prevent swaying of the ladder when the door panel is in the open position. The driving assembly is operable to move the door panel between the closed and open positions.
