    Abstract: An embodiment of an image enhancement method is introduced for use in an electronic device. An image composed of a plurality of pixel values is first received, and each pixel therein is separated into two channels. The image is further divided into a plurality of blocks. A distribution of a selected channel is determined for each block, which is selected from the two channels. For each pixel, the pixel value of the selected channel is adjusted according to at least one distribution corresponding to at least one neighboring block. For each pixel, the pixel value of the other channel is adjusted according to the adjusted pixel value of the selected channel. As a result, the adjusted image is provided.

    Abstract: An embodiment of a method for generating multiple still images and a video file in parallel is disclosed. A first series of images from an image sensor is provided to at least one buffer. A second series of images are captured in response to reception of a user input for performing a multi-capture operation. The process further provides the first series of images from the buffer for processing along at least two processing paths concurrently with the capturing of the second series of images. The two processing paths then process the second series of images, and the processed first series of images and second series of images are stored into a memory unit. At least one of the processing paths processes only a predetermined portion of the first series of images and the second series of images. Images processed by each of the two processing paths are stored, respectively.

Then, a wireless communication function is turned on to implement a channel scan according to the connection request. When at least an access point of at least a wireless network is available, a network connection with the wireless network is established for the data transmission through the access point. When there is no available access point, the wireless communication function is terminated and a connection control mechanism is initiated. The connection control mechanism comprises forbidding re-turning on the wireless communication function within a connection suspension time and re-turning on the wireless communication function when the connection request is received after the connection suspension time.

Finally, the coordinates of those n samples are averaged for determining the pressed location of the touch screen. Accordingly, the accuracy of determining the pressed location of the touch screen can be increased and the convenience for operating the electronic device is enhanced.
