  • Patent number: 9035534
Abstract: The electrical energy generating system of the present invention comprises a piece of alignment Buckypaper, an energy generator, a thin deposition and two contacts. The alignment Buckypaper is a thin sheet made from an aggregate of carbon nanotubes. The thin deposition is formed on at least one surface of the alignment Buckypaper by electrolysis to form a semimetal material. A contact is connected with the upper surface of the alignment Buckypaper and the other contact is connected with the lower surface of the alignment Buckypaper. In use, the energy generated by the generator is inputted to the alignment Buckypaper. The energy then ionizes the molecules contained in the alignment Buckypaper. The positive charges move to the upper contact and the negative charges move to the lower contact. Such electrical energy may then be fed to a load connected with the two contacts to do work on the load.

  • Publication number: 20120251794
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for making a sheet of a carbon nanotube (CNT) layer. First, a CNT solution is provided. A substrate is also provided. The substrate is then covered by the CNT solution, and a CNT layer is formed on the substrate through vacuum filtration. The CNT layer is cleaned with an organic chemical solution, and the CNT layer is cleaned with water. Finally, water is removed from the CNT layer. Additionally, in the step of vacuum filtration, a whirlpool is created in the CNT solution.

  • Publication number: 20060177369
Abstract: A method of using copper alloy substrate for growing carbon nanotubes, wherein copper is used as the base for copper matrix, and catalysts (ferrum, cobalt, and nickel) are dissolved in the copper matrix to form an alloy substrate. During the course of production for the carbon nanotube, the alloy substrate is positioned on the sample holder of the chamber, and the mechanical pump is used to extract the air pressure of the chamber under 10-3 torrs, and then the reaction gas is introduced into the chamber, and the total pressure is maintained at about 3 torrs. The reaction temperature of the alloy substrate at 850˜950° C. is provided by a heat-resistant tungsten fuse, and then preliminary dissociation of the reaction gas before introduced into the chamber is provided by a microwave generator.
