    Abstract: A display control apparatus applied for an image display apparatus having a plurality of display regions is provided. The display regions are respectively corresponding to a plurality of backlight modules and the luminance of the backlight modules are independently controlled. The display control apparatus includes a backlight control unit. The backlight control unit receives a first image data to generate a plurality of local backlight control signals accordingly. The local backlight control signals are used for controlling the luminance of the backlight modules. The backlight control unit divides the first image data to be a plurality of local image data respectively corresponding to the display regions. Furthermore, the backlight control unit generates one of the local backlight control signals according to one of the local image data respectively.

    Abstract: The image processing method includes: analyzing an image frame to obtain an original gain value corresponding to grayscale values of the image frame, wherein the original gain value is greater than 1; obtaining a lookup table recording conversion relationship between default grayscale values and default gain values, wherein the lookup table is used for performing anti-saturation processing on image data of the image frame; according to the original gain value, performing anti-saturation processing for the image frame by using the lookup table to obtain an adjusted conversion relationship of the image frame, wherein the adjusted conversion relationship defines a conversion relationship between different grayscale values of the image frame and corresponding adjusted gain values; and performing gain processing on image data of the image frame according to the adjusted conversion relationship.

The linked characteristics are stored in a second register, as a reference for an operation unit to perform the interpolation. Firstly, at least a first illumination area and at least a second illumination, which is located adjacent to the first illumination area in the image are defined according to luminance values of a plurality of pixels of the image. Next, a luminance regulation value of at least one of the pixels in the first illumination area is calculated, and the luminance value of the corresponding pixel in the first illumination area is adjusted according to the luminance regulation value. During processing of the image, the luminance values of all of the pixels in the second illumination area are restricted from any adjustment.
