Abstract: A solid solution for use in bone regeneration. The solid solution includes two divalent cations, wherein a first divalent cation is calcium ion (Ca2+) and a second divalent cation is selected from the group consisting of magnesium ion (Mg2+), zinc ion (Zn2+), barium ion (Ba2+) and strontium ion (Sr2+). The solid solution also includes at least one anion, and the at least one anion comprises one or more of sulfate (SO42?), phosphate (PO42?), carbonate (CO32?), and silicate (SiO32?).

Abstract: The present invention provides a ceramic reinforcement material with a weak interface. The reinforcement material of the present invention contains several ceramic layers, wherein those ceramic layers can be a ceramic layer, a metal layer or a polymer layer. The present invention utilizes the bonding weakness of a middle layer or in between a middle layer and the ceramic layer to create a weak interface in the ceramic reinforcement material. The reinforcement with the weak interface can be added into other materials to improve their toughness.

A tabletop is mounted horizontally on the other end of the leg. The leg includes an external rod and a sleeve centrally inserted into and secured in the hollow external rod. The sleeve includes an inner thread formed in a free end of the sleeve. A hollow internal rod is movably received in the hollow external rod. A threaded spindle is screwed into inner thread and a first gear is securely attached to the free end of the threaded spindle. A Z-shaped handle includes one end having a second gear securely mounted to engage to the first gear to drive the threaded spindle to control the length of the extendable leg to control the height of the table.
