Abstract: A visual field testing apparatus for scanning the visual field of a human eye in great detail, precision, and clarity so as to detect the smallest blind area whereby allowing users the ability of early detection of glaucoma and other eye diseases of visual loss. The apparatus is small and inexpensive so that anyone can afford to purchase it and self-test without assistance so that the user can test frequently at home which further leads to early detection of eye diseases. Because of its great precision and detail in test results, the present invention is especially useful to doctors and researchers.

One embodiment of the present invention is a visual field tester which comprises: (a) a recording surface having eye fixation means to fixate an eye's visual field relative to said recording surface; and (b) a handheld scanning device which has a test mark for detecting very small blind areas in said eye's visual field and marking means for mapping said detected very small blind areas onto said recording surface.

Abstract: A device to be inserted in heat exchanger tubes to produce high heat transfer in said heat exchanger tubes and, hence, high heat exchanger efficiency. Said device consists of a shaft mounted with a strip and an impeller. The flow of fluid in the heat exchanger tube causes the impeller to rotate, the impeller in turn causes the strip to rotate. The strip has slots and vanes. As the strip rotates, said vanes guide the fluid on and near the inner tube wall to flow through said slots to the central (axial) region of the tube, which promotes the convective heat transfer inside the tube tremendously.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating power and irrigating plants by using unlimited natural resources of solar energy and earth heat. The method and apparatus utilize various forms of solar energy and/or earth heat to produce pressure difference in two air-evacuated interconnecting chambers and to create periodic oscillation of the volatile liquid in said two chambers. The energy of the periodic oscillation of the liquid is used to lift water from a lower reservoir to an upper reservoir, thus creating a working hydraulic head. The water in the upper reservoir is then used to generate power or irrigate plants.

Abstract: A telephone handset holder adapted to provide a user with maximum comfort when using a telephone without exerting force on the holder against his shoulder. The holder includes a curved member adapted for engagement over the back part of a person's neck, a handset clamp pivotally secured to the front end of the curved member through a sector member, and a leg member pivotally secured to the handset clamp. The holder can be used on either side of a user.
