    Abstract: A terminal has a soldering portion, a body portion, a resilient arm portion, a first fulcrum and a pivot boss. The body portion is formed on the soldering portion. The resilient arm portion is formed on the body portion, is capable of pivoting and has a proximal end, a distal contacting portion and a distal section. The first fulcrum is defined between the body portion and the resilient arm portion and allows the resilient arm portion to pivot around the first fulcrum. The pivot boss serves as a second fulcrum, is formed on the resilient arm portion between the proximal end and the distal contacting portion, is adjacent to the distal section and selectively pivots the distal section. With the pivot boss, the terminal presents excellent resilient force.

    Abstract: A memory card connector has an insulative housing, a power switch and a plurality of conductive terminals. The power switch is mounted in the insulative housing, to detect a memory card and has a first detecting terminal and a second detecting terminal. The first and second detecting terminals are mounted in the insulative housing. The second detecting terminal selectively contacts the first detecting terminal to supply power to the memory card connector when the memory card is installed in the memory card connector. When the memory card is removed, the power switch cuts the power to the memory card connector to save power.

The insulative housing has a first space for the first memory card and a second space for the second memory card. The terminal set is mounted in the insulative housing and has plural terminals and at least two auxiliary terminals. Each auxiliary terminal has an engagement portion preventing a short circuit due to a wrong contact of the auxiliary terminal and the second memory. The memory card connector has only one terminal set, therefore is compact and has a low cost.

    Abstract: A connector holds and is connected electrically with a memory card such as a subscriber identity module (SIM) card and has an insulative housing, a plurality of terminals and a cover. The insulative housing has two sidewalls and a pair of holders. The holders are formed respectively on the sidewalls, and each holder has a lateral segment and a limiting segment. The lateral segment is formed on a corresponding sidewall. The limiting segment protrudes from the lateral segment to define a gap between the limiting segment and the corresponding sidewall. The terminals are mounted in the insulative housing. The cover is connected pivotally with the insulative housing and has a pair of mounting legs. Each mounting leg is connected with a corresponding sidewall and has a limiting tab selectively extending into a corresponding gap to prevent the mounting leg from moving transversely to further prevent the cover from detaching.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a memory card connector with a latching mechanism, it is to dispose the latching mechanism in the rotary slide memory card connector to limit the horizontal displacement of the metal shell of the memory card connector so as to secure and prevent the metal shell from shifting to a rotating position. The latching mechanism is consisted of an elastic clipping member on the metal shell and a fastening member arranged on the insulative housing, the elastic clipping member has a convex portion and the fastening member has a limiting portion relative to the elastic clipping member. After the convex portion is shifted horizontally across the limiting portion, the limiting portion thus will limit the horizontal shift of the metal shell, and the metal shell will be retained on the limiting portion within a definite pressure scope, so as to secure the connecting stability of the memory card connector.
