Abstract: A touch device to sense and compute the coordinate of a touch object is provided. The touch device comprises a panel, a light-emitting element, an image sensor, a reflective strip and a processing unit. The panel has a sensing area surrounded by first to fourth boundaries where the first and the third boundaries define an x direction and the other two boundaries defines y direction. The light-emitting element and the image sensor are located on the first boundary with a specific distance therebetween. The reflective strip is located on the second to fourth boundaries. When the touch object touches the sensing area, a first and a second light path from the light-emitting element to the image sensor are blocked to form a real and a virtual image such that the processing unit computes the coordinate of the touch object according to the real and the virtual images. A touch method is disclosed herein as well.

  • Patent number: 8009901
Abstract: The invention provides an adjusting apparatus and a method thereof for adjusting a 3D image constituted by a plurality of interlaced first-eye-viewed image lines and second-eye-viewed image lines to be outputted to a display panel. However, in practice, there is a leakage problem in a pair of glasses for viewing the 3D image. Therefore, the invention solves the leakage problem by matching a plurality of pre-stored leakage values and then generating a proper output with a corrective calculation.

  • Patent number: 7719550
Abstract: A method for deciding the maximum luminosity of a monitor is provided. The monitor is used for displaying a target image including a plurality of target pixels. Each of the target pixels has a target gray level. The target image and each adjacent image respectively has a maximum gray level. The monitor is capable of displaying M default gray levels. The method first generates a reference gray level (R) for the target image selectively based on the maximum gray levels. Then, a target control voltage corresponding to R is selected from a look-up table. A gain is generated based on R and M. Respectively multiplying each of the target gray levels by the gain can generate a plurality of new gray levels. At last, the method sets the target control voltage as the control voltage of the monitor and displays the target image with the new gray levels.

  • Patent number: 7443453
Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus for dynamically adjusting the saturation of an image signal consisting of a plurality of pixels. The apparatus includes a first transformation module, an operation module, a gain module, an adjustment module and a second transformation module. The first transformation module transforms the pixels of the image signal into a plurality of intermediate signals, where each of the intermediate signals has a respective saturation value. The intermediate signals are adjusted in accordance with a gain signal determined by a histogram relative to the saturation distribution of the intermediate signals. The adjusted intermediate signals are transformed back into the pixels of the image signal, thereby the saturation of the image signal is adjusted.
