  • Publication number: 20140209931
Abstract: An LED board structure includes a light-pervious substrate having a plurality of light-pervious areas formed thereon, a plurality of patterned conductive traces arranged on the light-pervious substrate at locations other than the light-pervious areas, and a plurality of LEDs correspondingly arranged on the light-pervious areas and respectively having two electrode terminals electrically connected to the patterned conductive traces. With these arrangements, light emitted from the LEDs not only projects forward, but also backwardly passes through the light-pervious areas, so that both sides of the LED board structure are illuminated by the LEDs. A method of manufacturing an LED board structure is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20140138721
Abstract: An LED heat-dissipation carrier structure includes a circuit board having at least one LED chip mounted thereon; at least one electrical terminal pin having at an end connected to the LED chip on the circuit board and another end extended in a direction away from a rear side of the LED chip; a bowl-shaped metal-made heat-dissipation carrier for receiving the circuit board and the LED chip therein, and through a bottom of which the electrical terminal pin is extended away from the LED chip; and a light-pervious epoxy filled in the heat-dissipation carrier to completely cover the circuit board and the LED chip. With these arrangements, a watertight and dustproof LED with good heat dissipation ability is formed and suitable for mounting on outdoor signboards, signs or exterior walls of high-rise buildings.

  • Patent number: 8123380
Abstract: A waterproof LED lamp holding structure includes an object having a plurality of through holes, and a plurality of LED lamps serially connected via an electric wire. Each of the LED lamps has a rear part enclosed in a protective member that has a first and a second end. Wedge-like keys are provided on the protective member near the first end and each have a rearward outward slant outer surface. Further, anchoring lugs are provided on the protective member to outward obliquely extend from the second end toward the first end. When the LED lamps along with the protective members are inserted in the through holes on the object, the wedge-like keys and distal ends of the anchoring lugs respectively abut against an outer and an inner side of the object to thereby hold the LED lamps immovable and straight in the through holes.

  • Publication number: 20110239503
Abstract: A pattern/character displaying LED lamp structure with invisible T-bar support is disclosed. The LED lamp structure includes a plurality of T-bars assembled to define a plurality of framed spaced; a plurality of stepped lamp panels; and a plurality of LED lamps. The stepped lamp panels respectively have a size-reduced upper half and a size-expanded lower half. When the upper halves are upward set in the framed spaces, the lower halves are in contact with one another to cover the T-bars, making the T-bars invisibly located behind the lamp panels. A bottom wall of each of the lamp panels is provided with lamp holes for forming characters or patterns. The LED lamps are separately set in the lamp holes with light-emitting sections thereof downward projected beyond the lamp panels, and can be lightened to display the characters or patterns on the bottom walls of the lamp panels.

  • Patent number: 7244044
Abstract: A light-emitting-diode (LED) illuminating device includes an object having a plurality of holes formed thereon, and at least one LED lamp bank consisting of a plurality of LED lamps serially connected together using an electric wire. The LED lamps are separately inserted in the holes on the object to show geometrical shapes or patterns, and/or word or words on the object, so that the object may be used as an illuminating signboard. Each of the LED lamps includes an LED and a protective member enclosing a rear part of the LED, so that the LED is waterproof and not subjected to breaking easily. The LED-illuminating device is easy to assemble, consumes less power, and has longer usable life and reduced cost.
