  • Publication number: 20140243157
Abstract: An elliptical trainer with a variable track is disclosed. The elliptical trainer has a base, a left and a right linkage, a transmission and a left and a right adjusting assembly. The linkages are connected to an upright posts extending upward from the base, respectively. Each of the linkages includes a pedal set configured to slide with respect to the linkage. The transmission deposited on the upright post drives the pedal sets to perform reciprocal elliptical motions. The adjusting assemblies are pivotally connected to the upright post, respectively, and serve to change an elliptical track along which the pedals move. Thereby, the elliptical track varies by expanding or retracting along only a major axis thereof. When using the elliptical trainer, a user will not need to step higher as the elliptical track expands. This design is more ergonomic and adaptive to users with various body heights and habitus.

  • Patent number: 8801582
Abstract: A treadmill includes a tread platform having two longitudinal frame bars, a swing unit pivotally mounted at the bottom side of the tread platform, and two inclination angle adjustment blocks. Each inclination angle adjustment block has a core shaft defining an axis line, and a plurality of bearing faces connected to one another and respectively disposed in parallel to the axis line and adapted for selectively supporting the tread platform on the ground. Each bearing face defines with the axis line a respective different vertical distance. The core shafts of the inclination angle adjustment blocks are pivotally coupled to the swing unit to support the inclination angle adjustment blocks at an outer side relative to the longitudinal frame bars of the tread platform. Thus, the treadmill allows manual multi-angle adjustment of the angle of inclination of the tread platform.

Abstract: A workout device with a foot-oriented elliptical loop is provided and bilaterally equipped with a transmission rod, a first link rod, a driving rod, a second link rod, a swing arm, and a supporting rod. The transmission portions are pivotally coupled to cranks to enable the cranks to undergo revolution. The supporting rods each have a supporting portion to support a user's feet. The aforesaid rods interact with each other. The supporting portions of the supporting rods move along a closed elliptical loop with segmental junctions spaced apart by a relatively short distance, such that the user's treading process is prevented from undergoing abrupt descents, un smooth transitions, and thus jolts.
