  • Patent number: 8777672
Abstract: The USB female connector contains an insulating base and a shielding casing enclosing the insulating base. On the insulating base, there is mainly a ground terminal having a flat ground contact section at an end on the insulating base. From the ground contact section, the ground terminal is forked into ground extension sections. Through the forked ground extension sections, the crosstalk on the first, second, third, and fourth differential signal terminals by the first and second signal terminals is effectively resolved.

  • Publication number: 20140080332
Abstract: A USB plug connector structure can use the same set of terminals to apply on different USB connector patterns, such as plate edge connector or wire edge connector, through the design of various soldering portions and base portions being positioned on the same plane. Furthermore, the common mode signals generated from first and second differential signal transmission conductor sets can be restrained by means of first and second grounding base portions of a grounding transmission conductor surrounding first and second differential signal transmission conduct sets. In addition, crosstalk interference generated from the first and second differential signal transmission conductor sets to a signal transmission conductor set can be similarly isolated through the first and second grounding base portions. Furthermore, a bended angle of each bended portion ranges from 120 to 150 degrees, thereby guide scattered radio frequency interference.

Abstract: The USB female connector contains an insulating base and a shielding casing enclosing the insulating base. On the insulating base, there is mainly a ground terminal having a flat ground contact section at an end on the insulating base. From the ground contact section, the ground terminal is extended away from the insulating base and forked into a first ground extension section, a second ground extension section, and a third ground extension section. Through the forked first, second, and third ground extension sections, the high-frequency crosstalk problem is effectively resolved.

  • Publication number: 20140024264
Abstract: The portable electronic device contains an electronic module and an insulating member slidably configured on the electronic module. The electronic module has a contact set on a major side which contains a first contact set, a second contact set, a third contact set, and a fourth contact set. The insulating member has at least a terminal set which contains a first terminal set, a second terminal set, a third terminal set, and a fourth terminal set, corresponding to the contacts of the first, second, third, and fourth contact sets, respectively. When the insulating member is slid on the electronic module, the terminals of the terminal set thereby establish contact with the corresponding contacts of the contact set. The friction between the terminals and the contacts rubs their oxidization off. The sliding configuration between the insulating member and the electronic module requires no soldering and as such prevents the reliability issue.

  • Publication number: 20130065448
Abstract: An electronic connector comprises a housing and a printed circuit board. The housing defines an opening therein. The printed circuit board is mounted in the housing. The printed circuit board has a front portion located within the opening of the housing and a rear portion attached to the housing. A USB3.0 port interface and an eSATA port interface are provided at the front portion of the printed circuit board. A terminal section is provided at the rear portion of the printed circuit board. The terminal section includes a plurality of connecting pads. The two interfaces are electrically connected with the connecting pads via a plurality of conducting traces. Thereby, the USB port interface or the eSATA port interface can be individually selected for data transmission, and electrical coupling between differential signal pairs can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 7988460
Abstract: A connection device includes an electrical engagement structure. The connection device includes a connector and a printed circuit board (PCB) based tongue. The PCB based tongue is received and retained in the connector and has a distal end extending toward an open-cavity plug receiving side of the connector in such a way that side edges of the tongue are spaced from corresponding inner walls of the connector. As such, the connector is made compatible to various buses through the PCB based tongue that include contacts that are selectively arranged to correspond to the buses.

  • Patent number: 7988495
Abstract: The present invention relates to a connector, wherein a connector is defined with an opening for connecting a USB connector. The connector is mainly assembled from a hollow casing, a first base and a second base, and two rear side walls of the hollow casing are respectively formed with a position fixing portion extending away from the opening. Moreover, after fixedly combining together the first base and the second base, two sides thereof are respectively formed with a guiding portion, which enable fixing portions extending from two sides of a printed circuit tongue to effect sliding inserted disposition. After assembly of the bases with the printed circuit tongue, then the fixing portions enable fastening to the position fixing portions. Accordingly, the bases not only enable achieving the objective of product customization, but also retaining positioning of the connector is enabled to prevent errors from occurring due to displacement.
