Abstract: A method, an apparatus and a computer program product for operating items with multiple fingers, adapted to a portable apparatus having a touch screen, are provided. In the method, a first touch operation performed on at least one item displayed on the touch screen is detected. A time of the first touch operation staying on the at least one item is accumulated and determined whether to be over a threshold. When the staying time is over the threshold, an edit mode of the item is entered and a second touch operation performed on the touch screen is detected. Finally, the at least one item is operated according to the first touch operation and the second touch operation.

Abstract: A portable device and a key hit area adjustment method are provided. The portable device includes a touch screen and a processor coupled with the touch screen. The touch screen is configured to display an input method editor comprising a plurality of virtual keys. The processor is configured to detect an input event triggered via the input method editor and adjust key hit areas of the virtual keys in response to the input event. The key hit area adjustment method is applied to the portable device to implement the aforesaid operations.

Abstract: The present invention provides a single-tap search method for a mobile phone or portable device having an ambiguity keyboard for searching a remote sever. Via a database on the remote sever, the present invention can provide more keywords for a given ambiguity string. Additionally, when the keywords are found on the database on the remote sever the present invention further searches the database for information related to the keywords.

Abstract: A portable device and a key hit area adjustment method are provided. The portable device includes a touch screen and a processor coupled with the touch screen. The touch screen is configured to display an input method editor comprising a plurality of virtual keys. The processor is configured to detect an input event triggered via the input method editor and adjust key hit areas of the virtual keys in response to the input event. The key hit area adjustment method is applied to the portable device to implement the aforesaid operations.

Abstract: Methods and systems for screen data management are provided. First, a screenshot is generated for screen data displayed in a touch-sensitive display unit. Contacts and movements of an object on the touch-sensitive display unit are received. It is determined whether the object is a pen or not. When the object is a pen, gestures corresponding to the contacts and movements of the object are recorded. Then, an event is received. In response to the event, the screenshot and the gestures corresponding to the contacts and movements of the object are merged to generate an integrated screenshot.

The mobile communication device receives a trigger signal generated by pressing an end key thereof and determines whether the time of continuously receiving the trigger signal reaches a predefined threshold value. If so, a quick list is displayed on a panel of the mobile communication device.
