    Abstract: The present invention provides a housing assembly of a portable electronic device. The housing assembly includes a first housing, a second housing and a third housing with two holes and two openings thereon. When the first and second housings are assembled together, the third housing is in an inner space defined by the first and second housings. A U-shape slider is slidably disposed in the third housing through the two openings. When the third housing is in the inner space, two arms of the U-shape slider have slots to accommodate protrusions of the first and second housings respectively.

    Abstract: A rectangular recessed portion is formed on the upper surface of the transceiver of a portable telephone set for receiving a SIM card. A plurality of contacts are disposed on a base plate which is disposed under the rectangular recessed portion and above a printed circuit board of the transceiver without directly contacting the printed circuit board. The rectangular recessed portion has a plurality of slots formed on the bottom thereof. Each of the contacts protrudes from the corresponding slot of the rectangular recessed portion to couple to the electrical contacts of a SIM card, and has an extended end electrically connected to the contacts of the printed circuit. The recessed rectangular recessed portion has an inclined plane for facilitating the loading of the SIM card.

    Abstract: A connecting device connecting a car antenna to the internal circuit of a portable telephone directly without going through a reed or a printed circuit board (PCB) trace. The connecting device is disposed in proximity to the antenna of the portable telephone. The car antenna is coupled to a connector which is to be disposed in a receiving portion formed in proximity to the antenna of the portable telephone. The connecting device includes a circuit board on which an internal circuit is mounted disposed in the portable telephone; a switch element which is electrically connected to the internal circuit and is mounted on the circuit board; and a connecting member mounted on the circuit board. The connecting member can electrically connect the switch element to the connector of the car antenna when the connector is received in the receiving portion and can electrically connect the switch element to the antenna of the portable telephone when the connector is not received in the receiving portion.

The memory card-receiving device includes a memory card chamber being pivoted onto the transceiver of the telephone set. An ejector is also provided for ejecting the memory card-receiving device when the memory card chamber is disengaged.

    Abstract: A device for receiving a memory card of a portable telephone set. The memory card-receiving device includes a memory card chamber for receiving the memory card. The memory card chamber can be freely inserted into or ejected from an open slot formed in the end surface of the portable telephone set. When the memory card chamber is fully inserted into the open slot, it is engaged with the portable telephone set by an engaging mechanism. The memory card chamber is ejected from the open slot by a curved spring strip disposed at the bottom of the open slot when the engaging mechanism is released.
