  • Patent number: 9664802
Abstract: A simplified device is provided for analyzing radiation spectrum. A detector absorbs radioactive particles for generating signal pulses. A signal converter is connected with the detector to discriminate and amplify the signal pulses to be converted into digital pulses. The microcomputer single-chip is connected with the signal converter to measure dual-channel pulse widths for statistical analysis and to measure pulse free count. Under a very low power mode, a pair of information comprising random physical memory spectrum and pulse count are generated. The microcomputer single-chip has a low cost and can be abundantly supplied. Thus, by using the microcomputer single-chip as a touch-driven application, a reading module replaces the high-frequency precision clock. The reading module is built-in for charging voltages with constant-current pulses. Consequently, spectrum analysis is performed for the signal pulses of gamma ray detected by the detector.

  • Patent number: 9016121
Abstract: A digital apparatus is provided for monitoring environment. The apparatus has a high-pressure chamber easy in maintenance. By using a supporting unit, the chamber is stably set in a container. In addition, the supporting unit reduces problem of saturated-humidity absorption so that wastage of utilities and rate of fake signals are both decreased. Thus, the chamber is prevented from mist and vapor for keeping good function.

  • Publication number: 20080173820
Abstract: A portable radiation detection apparatus is provided to transform detected radioactivity into an analog pulse signal and then convert the analog pulse signal into a digital pulse signal. Thereafter, a counting information with respect to the pulse width and pulse counting of the digital pulse signal is created for data processing executed in a portable device. A spectrometric analysis method is provided, which comprises the steps of generating a smooth and continuous curve with respect to the counting information, searching peak values and channel numbers corresponding to the peak values toward the smooth and continuous curve, calculating FWHM and region of interest of the peak values and then processing counting rate process. According to the foregoing characteristics, the present invention is not only provide lowing cost and wireless communication but also provide distance protection for radiation protection personnel to execute the inspection routinely under the extremely environment.

  • Publication number: 20060011849
Abstract: A gate radiation monitoring system and method for instant gamma analysis on passing by objects is related to two photomultiplier tubes respectively installed at the two ends of the column plastic scintillation detectors. By use of precise high frequency clock with period about 10 nsec, the analog pulse signals from the all photomultiplier tubes which respond the ionizing gamma events of the plastic scintillation detectors can be converted into logic signals by the discrimination circuit. The continuous timing records can be built in sync. for all PMTs by personal computer. It has been proved that through the present invention, conventional gate detector can be applied to quick determination of the surface radiation intensity, the energy and location of the gamma emitters contained in the detected objects.
