    Abstract: A method for generating a reflection texture includes steps of: obtaining a visible mirror plane area, which is formed by projecting a 3D bounding box enveloping a mirror plane to a 2D visible window; inverse mapping mirror viewpoints in the mirror plane to obtain a 3D view frustum; and symmetrically rendering a 3D object inside or intersecting the view frustum to a specular texture to generate a reflection texture. By symmetrically rendering only 3D objects inside or intersecting the view frustum, 3D objects impossibly projected to the mirror plane are eliminated to reduce the time required for rendering the specular texture.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an LED backlight module, which includes an LGP, an LED light bar, a backplane, and a heat sink. The LED light bar is mounted on the heat sink at a location close to a light incidence side of the LGP. The heat sink forms upward-extending LGP positioning columns that are fixed with respect thereto. The LGP positioning columns extend upward and through the LGP so as to fix the LGP with respect to the heat sink. The heat sink is arranged on the backplane in a manner of being movable in a light incidence direction. The heat sink is movable with expansion or contraction of the LGP so as to maintain light coupling distance between the LGP and the LED light bar. The LED backlight module prevents the LGP from waving resulting from heat or mechanical interference.

The upper and lower micro-structures each include a plurality of periodically and successively juxtaposed strip-like units. Each of the strip-like units forms a prism. The strip-like units of the upper and lower micro-structures are juxtaposed in the same direction. With the combination and arrangement of the upper micro-structures and lower micro-structures, collimation of light is improved after the light from an LED light source enters the light guide plate so as to improve convergence of the light inside a section.

Since the backlight module and the plurality of prisms of the second prism sheet both form the angle between 15 and 45 degrees with the longer side of the LGP, brightness at a frontal viewing angle is enhanced and a viewing angle becomes wider.
