Abstract: A navigation device and a control method thereof are disclosed. The navigation device control method includes the steps of using a display unit to display at least one road map thereon; using a processing unit to determine whether a moving speed of the navigation device is larger than a speed threshold value; and if the moving speed of the navigation device is larger than the speed threshold value, the processing unit controlling the display unit to adjust a manner in which the road map is displayed on the display unit.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a fast path planning navigation apparatus and a method thereof. The navigation apparatus comprises a map database, an input module, a positioning module and a processing module. The map database stores an expressway map and an urban road map. The input module inputs a destination. The positioning module calculates the current location of the navigation apparatus according to a global positioning system signal, the expressway map and the urban road map. The processing module calculates path information for a current location of the navigation apparatus to entrance ramp and exit ramp to the destination according to expressway information, the expressway map and the urban road map.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a navigator. The navigator comprises a control unit connecting to a storage unit and a positioning unit. The storage unit stores a plurality of map information. The plurality of map information comprises a plurality of points of interest (POIs). The positioning unit provides the position information. First, the control unit gets the number of the plurality of points of interest in the location of the navigator according to the position information and the plurality of map information. Then, the control unit controls a display unit to show a display scale around maps of the navigator according to the number of the plurality of points of interest and a number threshold value.
