Abstract: A method for booting up a mobile phone quickly is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: driving hardware devices when the mobile phone is turned on; initializing application software installed in the mobile phone; loading data in the mobile phone from a storage to a memory; creating a table for each kind of data in the memory, and ordering data in each table according to a particular order condition; converting each table into a binary file, and storing the binary file in the storage; loading the binary file of each table directly from the storage to the memory when the mobile phone is turned on. A related quickly booting mobile phone is also disclosed.

Abstract: A system and method for backing up a phonebook in an electronic device creates a backup file, copies data in the phonebook to the backup file, and sets an identification for the backup file. The system and method further attaches the backup file to an multimedia service (MMS) message, adds the identification to a title of the MMS message, and sends the MMS message attached with the backup file to a target electronic devices. The target electronic devices determines if a title of any received MMS message contains the identification of the backup file, detaches the backup file from the MMS message and copies data in the backup file to a phonebook of the target electronic devices, in response to a determination that the received MMS message contains the identification of the backup file.

Abstract: A method for translating words in images is provided. The method includes the following steps of: providing a storing unit for storing multiple word libraries, each word library corresponds to a language; providing a translation mode for a user to select; acquiring an image which comprises words to be translated; confirming a language of the words in the image; confirming a desired language for translating the words; transforming a format of the image into a text file; retrieving characters from the text file, and transforming the characters into literal codes; identifying the words in the image by comparing the literal codes with data in the word library corresponding to the confirmed language; and translating the identified words into the desired language, and generating corresponding translation results. A related apparatus is also disclosed.
