    Abstract: The invention discloses a global shutter CMOS image sensor. Each pixel unit of the global shutter CMOS image sensor includes a photo diode, a storage region and a first reset region, wherein the photo diode includes a first photosensitive doped region; a gate structure of a first transfer transistor is formed between the storage region and the first photosensitive doped region; a gate structure of a global shutter transistor is formed between the first reset region and the first photosensitive doped region; and inhomogeneous potentials are formed in the first photosensitive doped region through a doping structure. According to the invention, photo-induced carriers in the PDs of the pixel units, especially photo-induced carriers in the PDs of large pixel units, can be simultaneously and completely transferred to the storage region and the first reset region, and the overall performance of the device is improved.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for making a thermoplastic carbon fiber plate having a plastic overmold. The method includes: heating a mold; inserting a thermoplastic carbon fiber component into a mold; mixing a supercritical fluid with a plastic mixture to infuse bubbles into the plastic mixture and to thereby reduce the density of the plastic mixture that includes a resin and glass fiber; injecting the mixture of the supercritical fluid and the plastic mixture into the mold so that a plastic overmold is formed and bonded to the thermoplastic carbon fiber component; and cooling the thermoplastic carbon fiber component and the plastic overmold. The cooled plastic overmold includes a foam core having a lower density due to the gas bubbles and a skin layer having a higher concentration of the resin than the foam core and a reduced surface roughness due to the heated mold.

The UE may, for each transmit direction of the plurality of transmit directions, determine an average signal quality measurement based on individual signal quality measurements in multiple receive directions. The UE may select, for reporting to the gNB, a subset of the average signal quality measurements to ensure that the average signal quality measurements excluded from the subset are less than or equal to a minimum value of the average signal quality measurements in the subset.

    Abstract: A diesel engine includes a cylinder head, a cylinder sleeve, a piston, an injector, and a combustion chamber. The top side of the piston includes an annular top surface, an annular collision belt and an annular cavity. The collision belt includes a collision surface, an upper guide surface, and a lower guide surface. An annular throat is formed between the upper guide surface and the cylinder head. The collision belt divides the combustion chamber into a headspace and a central portion. The volume of the headspace is more than three times of the volume of the central portion. A major portion of the fuel jet injected by the injector is directed into the headspace. The results are faster mixing of fuel and air and complete combustion in the combustion chamber, and a reduction of fuel consumption rate by 2%. A method for fuel distribution and combustion is also disclosed.

    Abstract: The invention discloses a bimetallic thermally regenerative ammonia-based battery system and using method for harvesting low-grade waste heat. In this battery, the electrodes are made of two different metals that can form ammine complexes, and the metal M1 that has a more negative redox potential of M1(NH3)x1y1+/M1 is the negative electrode, and the metal M2 that has a more positive redox potential of M2y2+/M2 is the positive electrode, achieving high-voltage discharge and low-voltage charge at the same temperature. A closed-loop battery cycle consists of a discharge process, a charge process and two thermal regeneration processes. Deposition and corrosion reactions occur cyclically at the M1 and M2electrodes during successive charge and discharge processes. Thermal energy in waste heat is saved in the distilled ammonia, which is used to shift the redox couples for charging at lower voltage and stored in the battery as chemical energy.
