  • Patent number: 7017233
Abstract: A hinge assembly includes a shaft (1), a prime mover spring (2) having two end portions (22, 23), a case drive member (3) having a cam face (311), a main body drive member (4) having a cam face (411) movably engaged with the cam face of the case drive member, a number of driving pins (5) each having one end abutting the case drive member, and a manual button (8) connected with an opposite end of each driving pin. The two end portions of the prime mover spring are respectively secured in a flange head (12) of the shaft and in the case drive member. The shaft extends through the prime mover spring, the case drive member and the main body drive member thereby integrating the hinge assembly into a complete unit.

  • Publication number: 20050044663
Abstract: A hinge device includes a driven block (3), a cam (4), and a spring (7). The driven block includes two protrusions (31) projecting upwardly and downwardly respectively, the cam defines two opposite concave grooves (41) and two opposite arms (42), and the spring presses the driven block and the cam. Interfaces of the driven block (3) and the arms of the cam are plane surfaces, so that when the protrusions of the driven block are located on the plane surfaces, the hinge device is held in a steady state by the spring.

  • Patent number: 6621612
Abstract: An optical communication system (10), a method (100) for parallel modulation of an optical spectrum and a method (200) for parallel demodulation of the optical spectrum of modulated optical frequencies by the system (10) are described. The optical frequencies are provided in parallel to a modulation section (14) for modulating with data bits from a data signal source (16). The data bits are associated with an optical modulator (58) that controls passage of the optical spectrum at a plurality of predetermined optical frequencies based upon the data bits. The optical frequencies of the optical spectrum, modulated by the data bits, are then transmitted via a communication section (18) to an optical receiver (20) that is coupled to a demodulation section (22) of the system (10). Modulated optical frequencies are received as a modulated optical spectrum and demodulated in parallel by an optical demodulator (92) to derive the data bits.
