Abstract: Aspects of the present application provide methods and devices for use in User Equipment (UE) cooperation. A packet transmitted between a base station and a UE or between UEs includes a packet destination identifier that identifies a destination of the packet. A receiving the packet from a base station or another UE can determine whether the UE is the destination of the packet. When the UE is the destination of the packet, the UE decodes the packet. When the UE is not the destination of the packet, the UE forwards the packet to another UE. The packet may include a packet source identifier that can be used by the destination to determine where the packet originated. In some instances, the cooperative UEs do not need to decode the entire packet to be able to determine the destination of the packet and therefore can forward the packet along with less processing.

Abstract: Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) retransmissions based on User Equipment (UE) cooperation involves a first UE receiving a transmission comprising a data block that is destined for a second UE, and transmitting the data block toward the second UE according to a data block retransmission mechanism to enable the second UE to identify the data block transmitted from the first UE as being one of a plurality of concurrent transmissions of the data block according to the data block retransmission mechanism. The concurrent transmissions of the data block are processable by the second UE in combination to determine a reception status of the data block.

Abstract: Signaling to enable relay-based user equipment (UE) cooperation (UC) by a group of UEs, and a configuration including an adaptation protocol for processing of UC bearer traffic, are communicated in a wireless communication network. The UC bearer traffic includes a UC bearer and UC bearer attributes, and the UC bearer includes either a split bearer or a duplicated bearer indicated in the UC bearer attributes. In some embodiments, wireless network connectivity that is available for a relay link is determined, and the adaptation protocol is determined based on the determined connectivity. Signaling to enable configuration of the relay link in accordance with the connectivity and the adaptation protocol is communicated. A UE may receive signaling to configure the UE for such a relay link, and communicates traffic between a remote UE and the wireless communication network over the relay link.

The method comprises: a base station transmits to a terminal a switching message of a narrow bandwidth receiving mode, thus instructing the terminal to switch to a specified narrow bandwidth to receive information; when channel state information (CSI) of a downlink channel needs to be measured, the base station schedules the terminal to switch sequentially to at least two different measuring narrow bandwidths to measure a downlink reference signal, where the width of the narrow bandwidth and that of the at least two different measuring narrow bandwidths are less than the width of a system bandwidth. The employment of embodiments of the present invention allows the terminal to flexibly switch between the narrow bandwidth and the system bandwidth, reduces power consumption of the terminal, and implements the measurement of the CSI of the downlink channel at the same time.

The method includes obtaining an application link, the application link being a path formed by at least two associated applications for a service scenario; determining information of target resources required by capacity scaling for all applications in the application link; allocating respective resources to the applications according to the information of the target resources; and generating instances for the applications to according the respective resources. From the perspective of services, the method performs capacity assessment for related applications on a link as a whole, and capacity scaling of the entire link, thus fully utilizing resources, and preventing the applications from being called by other applications which results in insufficient resources.
