  • Patent number: 9039197
Abstract: A projecting apparatus is disposed within a space defined with first, second and third imaginary planes perpendicular to one another and includes a light source, a prism, a reflecting mirror, and a reflective light valve. The light source emits a light beam propagating along a first optical path parallel with the first and second imaginary planes. The prism is disposed in the first optical path, and refracts the light beam to propagate along a second optical path. The reflecting mirror is disposed in the second optical path, and reflects the light beam to propagate along a third optical path. The reflective light valve is disposed in the third optical path, and has an active plane parallel with the second imaginary plane. Therefore, the light source can be placed horizontally with respect to the reflective light valve to reduce the space occupied by the light source.

  • Patent number: 8926099
Abstract: A phosphor wheel includes a glass, a first phosphor agent and a first filter. The glass has a first region and the first phosphor agent is coated on the first region for converting a first color light into a second color light. The first filter is disposed next to the first region for filtering at least a portion of the first color light and a first light beam of the second color light, so that a second light beam of the second color light is transmitted through the first filter. The second color light is yellow light, the first phosphor agent is yellow phosphor agent, and the first filter is a red light filter. The present invention achieves the advantages of decreasing the fabricating cost, increasing the brightness of the red light with increasing of driving current and the whole brightness of the illumination system, and improving the image quality.

  • Patent number: 6385365
Abstract: A fiber optic switching apparatus comprises a fiber alignment head with a groove formed therein to mount with a first optical fiber, a switching member adjacent to the fiber alignment head and pivotable between a first position and a second position, and a second optical fiber adjacent to the switching member. The ends of the first and second optical fibers are in alignment when the switching member is in its first position and out of alignment when the switching member is in its second position. The improvement is that the fiber optic switching apparatus further comprises a supporter that is detached from the switching member to connect with the second optical fiber so that the end of the second optical fiber will not fluctuate in connection with the switching member when the first and second optical fibers are placed in alignment within the groove.
