    Abstract: A printer includes a base, a cover, a feeding roller, a support member, a rotating member and a driving member. The cover is pivotally connected to the base. The feeding roller includes an axle pivotally connected to the cover. The support member is disposed on the base. The rotating member is pivotally connected to the support member and includes an engaging portion and a pushing portion. The driving member is disposed corresponding to the rotating member. When the cover is closed with respect to the base, the feeding roller abuts against the rotating member and the axle is engaged with the engaging portion. When the driving member drives the rotating member to rotate, the axle is released from the engaging portion and the pushing portion pushes against the cover so that the cover is opened with respect to the base.

    Abstract: A paper feeder disposed on a casing for feeding a paper is provided. The paper feeder includes a feeding axle and a paper stopper. The feeding axle has a first engaging portion. The paper stopper includes a blocking plate and a second engaging portion. The paper stopper is co-axially and rotatably disposed on the feeding axle. When the feeding axle rotates in a first direction to engage the second engaging portion with the first engaging portion, the feeding axle drives the paper stopper to rotate in the first direction until the blocking plate blocks the paper. When the feeding axle rotates in a second direction to detach the second engaging portion from the first engaging portion, the feeding axle is able to feed a paper.

    Abstract: A maintenance device for shielding a print-head includes a casing having a first traveling path and a second traveling path transverse to the first traveling path, a sliding member disposed back and forth along the first traveling path; and a shielding unit including a seat movable back and forth along the second traveling path, and having two flanges for engaging a guiding track unit of the sliding member, and a shield fixed on the seat. Movement of the sliding member along the first traveling path in a first direction results in pushing of the seat by the sliding member, thereby moving the seat along the second traveling path so as to press the shield against the print-head. Movement of the sliding member along the first traveling path in a second direction results in removal of the shield from the print-head.

    Abstract: A scanning device includes a housing, a transparent plate, an document feeder and an image capture module. The housing has an opening and the transparent plate covers the opening. The transparent plate has a stripe area, a first side neighboring to the stripe area, and a second side. The document feeder has an aperture. The image capture module, capable to move below the transparent plate, has a first scanning origin corresponding to the stripe area, and a second scanning origin corresponding to the second side. When the object is placed on the transparent plate, the image capture module moves from the second scanning origin toward the stripe area to scan the object. When the object is placed on the document feeder, the object is transported to pass the first scanning origin, and the image capture module is simultaneously positioned below the stripe area to scan the object through the aperture.
