Abstract: A radio mobile communication system including: a radio base station apparatus; and a mobile terminal apparatus, wherein radio communication is performed between the radio base station apparatus and the mobile terminal apparatus, the radio base station apparatus includes: a first transmission unit which transmits a first notification signal to notify a shift to a first mode; and a first mode switching control unit which transmits the first notification signal and switches to the first mode in which the first transmission unit is shifted to a condition of a suspension state, and the mobile terminal apparatus includes: a second mode switching control unit which switches to a second mode in which power of the mobile terminal apparatus is in an ON state and power consumption is smaller than in an outside coverage area mode, on receiving the first communication signal.
