Abstract: A retractable cover system includes a frame that provides an opening and includes laterally spaced apart guide rails and includes a drive system. A flexible cover has laterally opposing edge portions with intermittent retainers received in the guide rails. The retainers are configured to slide relative to the guide rails between first and second positions within the opening in response to actuation of the drive system. Multiple spaced apart bows extend laterally between guide rails. The bows provide a laterally and outwardly extending arc that maintains tension on the flexible cover laterally between the retainers.

Abstract: Restraint device including a flexible sheet-like structure mounted on a winding shaft so as to be able to be wound up and unwound and shiftable in height between an at least partially extended functional position and a wound-up rest position, wherein the sheet-like structure, on front end face region in the direction of extension, is provided with a dimensionally stable extension profile, and a lifting mechanism, with at least one lifting arm arrangement and which, for the raising and/or lowering of the flexible sheet-like structure, is detachably connected to the extension profile. The lifting arm arrangement is limitedly pivotable about a tilt axis oriented substantially parallel to a rotational axis of the winding shaft, and at least one adjustment unit is provided to adjust the lifting arm arrangement in its tilt about the tilt axis and to fix it in an adjusted tilt position.

Abstract: Protective device with a flexible sheet-like structure movable between a compactly stored position and at least one two-dimensionally extended functional position and which is provided, on an end region thereof with a dimensionally stable extension profile which, at opposite ends, has retaining profile sections mounted so as to be displaceable telescopically to a limited extent in the extension profile and acted upon outwardly in the longitudinal direction of the extension profile by a spring arrangement. Each retaining profile section is assigned a second spring arrangement which acts on the retaining profile section in the opposite direction to the first spring arrangement. The retaining profile section, in an unloaded non-operational position, is held on the extension profile in a central position, from which the retaining profile section can be shifted inward or outward in opposite longitudinal directions relative to the extension profile.

Abstract: Methods are disclosed for the initiation and differentiation of human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) into motor neuron progenitor cells (MNPs). Methods are also disclosed for the cryopreservation of MNPs. The methods particularly relate to the simple, efficient, scalable, and reproducible generation, and subsequent frozen maintenance, of MNPs for downstream therapeutic applications. The methods can be used for the production of MNPs from various lines of hESCs and iPSCs.

Abstract: A restraint device for a vehicle interior has a flexible planar structure movably mounted between a rest position and an extended function position and that is provided at its end area with a dimensionally stable pulling-out section, and the restraint device has at least one roof-side holder in which the pulling-out section is detachably fixed by at least one complementary securing section in the extended function position of the planar structure. The roof-side holder includes a receptacle and a stationary locking pawl arrangement mechanically matched to a movement distance of the at least one securing section during transfer from the rest position to the function position. The securing section during its upward travel presses the locking pawl arrangement into the release position, and the securing section enters the receptacle and the locking pawl arrangement automatically moves back into its locking position as soon as the securing section has entered the receptacle.

The memory contains a datastore. The processor is configured to analyze the usage data to determine the number of the storage elements not containing data, store information within the datastore indicating the number of storage elements not containing data and read information from the data storage to determine whether the further data may be stored.

Abstract: A first image processing system, a second image processing system, a first storage system and a second storage system communicate over a high bandwidth switch. The switch connects the first processing system to the first storage system and also connects the second processing system to the second storage system. At the first image processing system, first location data is read to identify the location of frames on the first frame storage system. Similarly, at the second image processing system second location data is read to identify the location frames on the second frame storage system. In response to control commands issued to the switch, the first image processing system is disconnected from the first storage system and reconnected to the second storage system. Similarly, the second processing system is disconnected from the second storage system and reconnected to the first storage system.

Some or all of the image processing systems are connected to a high bandwidth switching means, as are some or all of the frame storage means. The switching means forms a connection between a first image processing system and a first frame storage means, and the first image processing system accesses data stored on an additional processing system that is necessary to access frames stored as clips on the first frame storage means. This data comprises information specifying, for each frame on the first frame storage means, the clip to which it belongs, its position in that clip and effects to be applied to the frame.
