  • Publication number: 20070224720
Abstract: A manufacturing method of a suspended microstructure includes the steps of providing a substrate having a surface; forming a first depositing layer over a part of the surface; forming a second depositing layer over the first depositing layer and another part of the surface wherein an adhesion between the first depositing layer and the substrate is weaker than that between the second depositing layer and the substrate; forming a hole through the second depositing layer to partially expose the surface of the substrate; and filling the hole with an etchant to remove a part of the substrate so as to form a cavity.

  • Publication number: 20060039818
Abstract: A method for forming a die, including forming a pre-formed mold by providing a preliminary layer on a substrate and performing a micro-machining process on the preliminary layer. Due to the micro-machining process, the method can fabricate a pre-formed mold with high precision for forming a mold. The die is fabricated by the mold for performing a molding process to obtain a workpiece with a predetermined shape.

  • Patent number: 6757090
Abstract: A transmission mechanism for an optical device is provided to change an angle of an optical element. The transmission mechanism includes a first member and a second member. The first member has a slanted surface and is capable of sliding back and forth along a first direction. The second member has a first part and a second part. The first part is contacted with the slanted surface of the first member. The second part has one end connected with the first part and the other end connected to the optical element. When the first member moves, the first part contacting the slant surface moves relative to the slanted surface, thereby causing the second part to rotate so as to change the angle of the optical element.

  • Patent number: 6671082
Abstract: An optical switch includes two optical input terminals, two optical output terminals, two reflecting devices and a movable device. The optical input terminals are used to receive light rays. The two reflecting devices are positioned at fixed positions, and the movable device reflects light rays. When the position of the movable device moves, the light rays are reflected by one of the reflecting devices and are selectively output from the optical output terminals.

  • Publication number: 20030086643
Abstract: Disclosed is a wavelength division multiplexer (WDM) and its wavelength dividing method. The WDM includes an optical input end, a first optical output end, a second optical output end, a collimator, a filter and a reflective device. The optical input end receives multi-wavelength optical signals. The filter transmits a first-wavelength optical signal of the multi-wavelength optical signals and reflects a second-wavelength optical signal of the multi-wavelength optical signals to the second optical output end. The first-wavelength optical signal is again reflected by the reflective device and transmitted through the filter toward the first optical output end. The collimator collimates the multi-wavelength optical signals, the first-wavelength optical signal and the second-wavelength optical signal.
