Abstract: An automatic musical instrument includes a tine, a rotor, an actuatable arm, and a rotatable cam. The tine emits an audible sound when vibrated. The rotor has plural picks extending radially outwardly therefrom, and the actuatable arm is disposed to displace the rotor when the actuator arm is pivoted between a normal position and an actuated position. The rotatable cam has at least one protrusion extending outwardly from a surface thereof, and is disposed to contact a pick on the rotor when the rotor is displaced by the actuatable arm. The contact of the rotating cam with the pick of the rotor further displaces the rotor, causing a pick on the rotor to vibrate the tine, emitting the audible sound.

The circuitry produces a second audible sound when activated. The switch is connected to the circuitry and is operable when actuated to activate the circuitry. The trigger is selectably operable substantially simultaneously (a) to vibrate the tine to produce the first audible sound and (b) to actuate the switch in turn to activate the circuitry to produce the second audible sound.

Abstract: A projector includes a support structure, which supports a light source and an image medium. The image medium is arranged such that light from the light source passes through one or more images carried by the image medium, thereby projecting intermediate images. An image dispersion element, having a plurality of reflective surfaces, is mounted in fixed position in the path of the intermediate images, to simultaneously redirect the intermediate images in a plurality of different directions from the projector to create a plurality of final images. An image medium driver drives the image medium relative to the light source. As an image carried on the image medium moves in the path of light emitted by the light source, the intermediate images move relative to the image dispersion element, and, consequently the final images move across the surface onto which they are projected.

The sound device also includes apparatus for securing the sound module to a gift container or package, a switch actuator such as an elongated strip adapted to toggle the switch “off” to “on”, the elongated strip including an adhesive applied to a distal end of the elongated strip, and a housing that houses the sound module. The housing includes a slot through which the elongated strip extends such that the distal end of the elongated strip is disposed on the outside of the housing and a proximal end of the elongated strip, which is remote from the distal end, is disposed on the inside of the housing, and the elongated strip toggles the switch “off” to “on” by sliding out of the housing through the slot. Other configurations for toggling the switch are also disclosed.

A decorative sculpture is displayed inside the container. An electronic apparatus is disposed in the container in operable communication with the closure member, such that when the closure member is in the open position the electronic apparatus is activated, and when the closure member is in the closed position the electronic apparatus is deactivated. The electronic apparatus is a music box, a lighting display, an electric motor, or any combination thereof. The ornamental display assembly further includes a magnetically operated switch for activation of the electronic apparatus, and a magnet located in the closure member.

Abstract: A decorative display device includes a number of focused light sources that are arranged and manipulated to provide a twinkling effect. That effect is created by the light sources so that different ones of them are directed toward an observer at different times.

The film assembly includes a periscope having a first aperture, the film assembly being configured so as to mount a film to scroll in front of the first aperture of the periscope. The motor scrolls the film in front of the first aperture. The light source projects light through the periscope and portions of the film positioned in front of the first aperture of the periscope. The lens focuses the light projected through the film and the periscope.

The momentum of the striking arm carries the striking arm from the intermediate position to the striking position while the striking arm is not in contact with the driving device. This enables the musical device to recreate desired tones without any damping.

In the active state, the action figure is pulled toward the upper reel and the lower line is unwound from the lower reel mechanism.
