  • Patent number: 12653548
Abstract: A surgical device includes a housing configured to receive a tool having a cylinder configured to support a drive shaft. A collar assembly is disposed atop the housing and is configured to engage a cylinder head of the cylinder. The collar assembly includes: a collar having a step ring separating an inner peripheral surface and a spring assembly seat, the inner peripheral surface dimensioned to engage the housing and the spring assembly seat configured to receive a spring assembly therein. One or more engagement spheres are configured to seat within a ball pocket defined through the housing. The sphere(s) is configured on one end to abut the cylinder head upon introduction into the housing and on the opposite end to seat within a groove defined within the collar. The sphere(s) translates within the groove between first and second pockets upon collar rotation to secure the cylinder within the housing.

  • Publication number: 20250127522
Abstract: A surgical bur for use in cutting bone includes a stem adapted to selectively couple to an attachment tube of a micro-burring instrument assembly and is configured for selective rotation upon activation of the micro-burring instrument. The surgical bur includes a plurality of cutting flutes disposed at a distal end of the stem which defines a corresponding number of clearance surfaces disposed therebetween. Each of the cutting flutes includes a cutting edge and a trailing edge. One or more push-off elements is defined in the clearance surface between adjacent pairs of cutting flutes of the plurality of cutting flutes, the push-off elements being configured to contact bone during rotation of the surgical bur and being configured to deflect the surgical bur relative thereto and optimize the cutting efficiency and effectiveness of the surgical bur based on the rotational speed (RPM) thereof.

  • Patent number: 9853732
Abstract: Methods and systems for distribution of digital data services, radio frequency (RF) communications services, and power are provided for use in optical fiber-based distributed communications systems. Electrical digital data signals are received at a distribution unit. Downlink digital data signals representing the electrical digital data signals are distributed from the distribution unit over a downlink digital data services line to a remote antenna unit (RAU). Uplink digital data signals are received from the RAU over an uplink digital data services line and are distributed to head-end equipment. The distribution unit also receives optical RF communications signals and distributes the optical RF communications signals over at least one RF communications services optical fiber to the RAU. Power is also distributed, from at least one power output of the distribution unit, over at least one power line to the RAU.

  • Patent number: 8625950
Abstract: A rotary locking apparatus for locking and unlocking a fiber optic equipment tray and related methods are disclosed. The rotary locking apparatus may be a torsional rotary locking apparatus. The torsional rotary locking apparatus includes a rod having at least one protrusion and a torsion spring attached to the rod. The torsion spring may also be attached to a tray mount on the fiber optic equipment tray. The rod can be rotatably actuated such that the at least one protrusion selectively engages or disengages one or more of a plurality of slots in a tray guide to allow the fiber optic equipment tray to move from a closed to an open position. The torsion spring may be configured to lock the fiber optic equipment tray in either the open or the closed position when the at least one protrusion engages one of the plurality of slots in the tray guide.

  • Publication number: 20100322580
Abstract: A fiber optic apparatus, with a panel, having a front and a back and mountable in a chassis is disclosed. The panel has a parking port in the back adapted to removably receive an adapter. The panel also has a connection port in the front adapted to removably receive the adapter. The adapter is selectively movable between the parking port and the connection port. One end of the adapter opens toward the front and another end of the adapter opens toward the back. The adapter is removably received in the parking port, and a connector attached to a fiber optic cable inserts in the end opening toward the back. The adapter then may be moved from the parking port to the connection port and removably received in the connection port. Another connector attached to another fiber optic cable may be inserted in the other end of the adapter opening toward the front.
