  • Patent number: 7900942
Abstract: A wheel suspension arm comprises a link opening (12) for pivotably securing the wheel suspension arm to a vehicle frame and an axle opening (11) for securing an axle element (2) to the wheel suspension arm. A peripheral edge (11a) of the axle opening includes at least one discontinuation, such as a slot (13). A screw (17) can be tightened to clamp the axle element (2) in the axle opening (11). The invention also relates to a method for producing the inventive wheel suspension arm and to a wheel suspension comprising said wheel suspension arm.

  • Patent number: 7311446
Abstract: The invention relates to a swivel bearing that is characterized by at least one elastic, radially prestressed bearing element, which closely encircles a rotation axis completely or at least in areas, is inserted into a bearing opening of a first bearing part, preferably pressed therein, and which is axially tensioned against at least one face of a second bearing part by means of a screw connection acting coaxial to the rotation axis. The invention also relates to a steering axle that is equipped with a swivel bearing of the aforementioned type.

  • Patent number: 7260879
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for mounting a wheel on an axle housing in the form of an axle tube for vehicles, in particular commercial vehicles. The wheel is fixed with, for example, wheel bolts to a wheel hub, pivoting on the axle stub of the axle tube, and the axle stub is clamped on to an end section of the axle tube as a separate component. For simplicity of manufacture and assembly combined with functional durability, it is proposed that the end section of the axle tube is cylindrical on the inside and has at least one longitudinal slit, that the axle stub fits into the end section of the axle tube with an externally corresponding cylindrical connecting section, and that the end section of the axle tube is radially clamped on to the connecting section of the axle stub by means of at least one longitudinally continuously split clamping ring positioned on the end section of the axle tube.

  • Patent number: 5445250
Abstract: A brake shoe mounting for a vehicle drum brake hinges brake shoes to a brake anchor member to swivel around axes that are substantially parallel to the brake drum axis. To simplify the assembly and disassembly of the brake shoes and to improve the adaptation of surfaces of brake linings to the inner surface of the brake drum that expands under stress, the hinging of the brake lining shoes to the anchor member is achieved by ball bearings.
