Patent number: 7025583Abstract: Apparatus and method for carrying out compaction operations on molded bodies that consist of granular materials and are placed on pallets, the compaction being achieved by impact of a vibrating table on the underside of the pallet. The vibrating table, together with a spring system forms a mass-spring system, which acts as a vibrator capable of oscillation that is excited by an excitation device to produce forced vibrations. The spring system, together with the system mass, is designed to develop at least one individual frequency within the range of the compaction frequency, whereby it is also possible to adjust the individual frequency gradually or continuously. This, together with the fact that the excitation frequency can be adjusted, allows the vibrator to be operated partially or completely in resonance mode over the whole frequency range of the compaction.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 2001Date of Patent: April 11, 2006Assignee: GEDIB Ingenieurburo und Innovationsberatung GmbHInventor: Hubert Bald

Publication number: 20040070099Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device for the compression of granular materials. On compressing granular material to give prepared products e.g. concrete paving slabs, a resonance vibrator with an oscillating mass-spring system is applied, which may be energised by a controllable energiser to produce forced oscillation of a given frequency and oscillatory amplitude. The resonant effect, making use of the proximity of the inherent resonance frequency and the exciter frequency permits a reduction in the size of the exciter force. According to the invention, along with an adjustment of the exciter frequency the resonant frequency is also simultaneously co-adjusted by means of a suitable adjuster, in order to be able to g make use of the resonance effect throughout the whole spectrum of the exciter frequencies to be carried out.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 29, 2003Publication date: April 15, 2004Inventor: Hubert Bald

Publication number: 20030113397Abstract: The invention relates to a compressing device for performing compression operations on shaped bodies made of grainy materials. The grainy materials, e.g. wet concrete mortar, are formed into shaped bodies in the mold recesses (106) of the mold boxes by applying vibrations and compression pressure. The invention aims at providing a low-noise low-energy consuming compressing device. In order to achieve a low-noise compression operation, said mold box (106) and vibrating table (124) are rigidly clamped together and harmonic vibrating operation of the vibrating mass-spring-system is ensured.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 29, 2002Publication date: June 19, 2003Inventor: Hubert Bald

Patent number: 6504278Abstract: The invention relates to a regulating device for an unbalanced mass vibration generator, comprising at least two pairs of partial unbalanced mass bodies that can be driven around an allocated axis whose vectorially added partial centrifugal force vectors form the resulting centrifugal force vector. Adjustment is carried out between a resulting minimal unbalance moment (amplitude of oscillation=minimal) and a resulting maximal unbalance moment (amplitude of oscillation=maximal) without any intermediate positions, whereby both allocated limiting phase angles are regulated using two stops. The regulating device also enables acceleration and stopping of the vibrator with a regulated minimal unbalance moment. The regulating device selectively utilizes one or two drive motors for regulating the phase angle. Due to the utilization of stops in adjusting the phase angle, it is no longer necessary to use complicated control means and a compact structure is made possible.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 2000Date of Patent: January 7, 2003Assignee: Gedib Ingenieurburo und Innovationsberatung GmbHInventors: Hubert Bald, Brigitte Ludwig

Patent number: 6105685Abstract: An adjusting device for an unbalance vibrator with adjustable centrifugal moment. The invention concerns specifically the specialised category of vibrators in which each unbalance shaft has its own motor (110, 112, 114, 116) and no transmission system is provided for connecting the minimum of four unbalance shafts. A novel way of hydraulically actuating the motors is described for ram vibrators of this type provided with four hydraulic motors (110, 112, 114, 116). This involves connecting two motors (the ones allocated to the two unbalance shafts which always rotate synchronously counter to one another even during adjustment) in parallel to their own respective hydraulic circuits. Each of the two hydraulic circuits (118, 120) has its own pump (P1, P2) and the pressures in the forward flow and/or back flow lines can be adjusted independently from the outside by a control and regulation device (126, 128) in such a way that they can be used to set the centifugal moment in a predeternmined manner.Type: GrantFiled: June 22, 1998Date of Patent: August 22, 2000Assignee: GEDIB Ingenieurburo und Innovationsberatung GmbHInventor: Hubert Bald

Patent number: 5911280Abstract: An unbalanced-mass vibrator comprises a pair of unbalanced masses which are sequentially driven in opposite rotational directions. The vibrators are intended to provide vibrations in a vibrational direction, and undesired vibrations transverse to the vibrational direction are reduced or eliminated. In particular, mechanisms in control schemes are provided for adjusting the relative torques delivered to each of the unbalanced masses via hydraulic motors. The torques, in turn, may be controlled based on the degree to which the unbalanced masses are out of synchronization or by measurically measuring vibrations in a transverse direction to the desired vibrational direction, or time derivative thereof.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 1997Date of Patent: June 15, 1999Assignee: Gedib Ingenieurburo Und Innovationsberatung GmbHInventor: Hubert Bald

Patent number: 4573380Abstract: The apparatus permits the relative rotation of a component on a rotating spindle by means of a superimposition drive having two inputs and one output. At one input the spindle rotation is fed in, while at the other a desired rotation of the component, which in turn is connected to the output of the drive, is fed in. The rotational position and/or rotating force can be measured and controlled. Applied to adjusting movements on machine tool spindles, for example for powered chucks or radially adjustable rotating tools.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 1983Date of Patent: March 4, 1986Inventor: Hubert Bald
