  • Patent number: 5827456
Abstract: A plastic bottle, made of polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), or poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET), blown with a very thin overall wall thickness within the range 0.1 to 0.3 mm, includes a triangular or polygonal cross-section, the bottle being preferably surrounded by a supporting jacket. The bottle can be blown with a uniform wall thickness and adequate strength without the need for reinforcing ribs via walls formed by pressing them against the surface of a blow mold which has been worked at least in some areas by etching, form-cutting or eroding, having features with heights of 0.05 to 0.15 mm.

  • Patent number: 5806680
Abstract: A process for filling a non-self-supporting pack with cylindrical, pellet-like products by introducing into a pack closely surrounding at least one multiple-row layer of the products in such a manner that the products are arranged beside and above one another in linear contact with one another at their cylindrical surfaces and are arranged closely adjacent one another in the pack so that they fit exactly into the pack, are self-supporting, and disperse a pressure applied externally to the pack through the cylindrical surfaces of the products. The pack is brought into a transportation position wherein the products are in an upright position. A pack unit of the products is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5503281
Abstract: A package for flowable goods includes an inner thin-walled plastic body for receiving pourable goods. The inner plastic body has a rectangular cross section, and is surrounded by a supporting envelope having an open top and bottom, and an upper stacking edge for resting on the plastic hollow body in the packaging position. A depression is formed in at least one corner of the inner body for receiving a tongue of the supporting envelope, whereby the tongue is cut out transversely to the corner depression, and hinged via two lateral edges for permitting the tongue to be folded into the depression.

  • Patent number: 5413232
Abstract: A package for flowable goods includes an inner thin-walled plastic blown hollow body that receives the goods to be packaged and a supporting envelope without a bottom or a lid, with an upper stacking edge that surrounds the plastic hollow body and rests thereon in the packaging position. The plastic hollow body has a depression and the supporting envelope is provided with cut-outs that can be folded at least partially inward into the depression, that both act as fastening elements for the supporting elements, and form a handle for carrying the package. Engaging elements for the folded cut-outs are provided. In order to improve the link between the inner and outer package parts, the engaging elements form cams and are associated to an inclined projection formed in the plastic container in the pivoting area of the depression.

  • Patent number: 5366102
Abstract: A plastic container package for bulk materials, such as liquids or pourable fine granules or the like, is surrounded on the outside by a close-fitting cardboard or paper jacket. The container has, at least in regions, an upper stopping edge for the cardboard jacket. To fit the container with a printable and easily removable streamer, the plastic container includes catch ramps in the form of stopping shoulders protruding from a transition region between a bottom face and associated side faces. In the position of use, the cardboard jacket is designed as a closed streamer which is fixed between the stopping shoulders by pushing it over the catch ramps.

  • Patent number: 5322184
Abstract: A package for pourable substances like liquids or loose fine granulates includes an inner plastic container holding the substance to be packed and a cardboard envelop surrounding the plastic container, wherein the plastic container is a thin-walled hollow plastic body made by a blowing process. The envelope, when set up as a package, is at least locally in contact with the plastic container and is fitted with apertures facilitating its holding the plastic container. The hollow plastic body has at least two straight surfaces substantially forming one edge, in which a region of the associated side has a recess, and apertures in the cardboard envelope formed as a supporting case correspond to the recess in the edge region of the hollow plastic body to provide a handle.
