  • Patent number: 8057884
Abstract: A glass pane is provided. A marking field that includes an uneven surface structure is located on a limited area of a smooth side surface of the glass pane. The limited area is smaller than a total area of the side surface of the glass pane, and the uneven surface structure is more rough than portions of the side surface of the glass pane that are outside of the limited area of the side surface of the glass pane. A marking layer is located on the marking field so as to create an intimate adhesive bond between the marking layer and the marking field. The marking layer includes a color containing a thermochromic pigment that visually indicates that a heat treatment has been carried out on the glass pane by being irreversibly modified at a temperature at which the heat treatment is conducted.

  • Patent number: 7615253
Abstract: A method for visual marking of heat-treated substrates, in particular tempered glass panes. The method modifies a marking layer deposited on a surface of the substrate, that visually indicates that the heat treatment has been carried out, and produces a rough marking field on the surface of the substrate that the marking layer deposited on the substrate exhibits intimate adhesive bonding thereto, which marking layer cannot be completely removed using a mechanical mechanism.

  • Patent number: 7415758
Abstract: A device to press a rotatably supported shaft of a rotor of a spindle motor for a hard disk drive into a shaft receiving portion of an associated stator housing by means of a first pressing tool acting on the rotor and a second pressing tool acting on the stator housing. A first aligning apparatus for the rotor and a second aligning apparatus for the stator housing are provided. The first and second aligning apparatuses are formed in such a way that they guide the rotor by means of a rotor carrier and the stator housing by means of a stator carrier. The rotor carrier and the stator carrier are exactly aligned with respect to each other during the pressfitting process. The first pressing tool has a first pressing element acting on the shaft of the rotor that is independent of the first aligning apparatus and the second pressing tool has a second pressing element acting on the stator housing that is independent of the second aligning apparatus.
