  • Patent number: 10302229
Abstract: An adjustable suction pipe assembly for use in a liquid transfer system including at least first and second pipe members wherein one end of the second pipe member includes a seal member and wherein the second pipe member is frictionally insertable within the first pipe member, the seal member being slidably adjustable along the length of the first pipe member. The seal member is oriented such that a portion thereof extends away from the outside diameter of the second pipe member and sits in a space formed between the engagement of the first and second pipe members. If the fluid level within the supply tank is below the location of the seal member, atmospheric air which may enter the first pipe member at a location above the seal member will force the seal member against the inside diameter of the first pipe member thereby further sealing the connection therebetween.

  • Patent number: 9009981
Abstract: A three-sided disposable cutting blade for use within a utility knife. The cutting blade features between three and six distinct cutting portions. The cutting blade may be rotated and flipped such that each cutting portion may be presented from the utility knife as the active cutting portion. Features of the cutting blade include a wear-coat indicator which is located at or near each cutting portion and indicates when a portion has been used; grippable locations on the body of the blade to increase the grippibility of the blade when removing and handling the blade; multiple mounting-hole orientations; and mass-reducing punch-outs which reduce cutting friction of the blade against the object being cut.

  • Patent number: 8978257
Abstract: A utility knife employing a blade having multiple cutting portions, and a housing for quickly and simply swapping out one cutting portion for another. In a preferred embodiment, a six-cutting-portion featured blade is employed. Each point of the six-cutting-portion featured blade features two distinct cutting portions, for a total of six cutting portions located on a single blade. The blade can be rotated about a central axis to expose new cutting portions as old portions wear and dull. In another embodiment, a single-edged blade featuring two cutting faces is housed in a knife handle. The blade can be flipped when the first portion is dull or worn to expose a second cutting face. The handle may optionally include a storage space for storing additional blades.

  • Publication number: 20120079722
Abstract: A tri pointed shaped utility blade that has a sharp edge around its outer periphery or said perimeter sides. Each of the three perimeter sides is divided into two sections. This makes a total of six sections and this specific shape is arranged into six cutting edge lines. Each of the sections contains a separate cutting edge. This special arrangement provides six individual cutting edges on one blade. The blade can be placed into special utility knives six different ways into a defined location, thereby providing the user with six individual cutting edges.

  • Patent number: 5435203
Abstract: A device (26) for adjusting the length of either the core element (14) or the conduit (12) in a motion transmitting remote control assembly (10) includes an elongated member (28) and a housing (30) for axially movably receiving the elongated member (28). A thumb-controlled locking device (32, 68) locks and unlocks the elongated member (28) within the housing (30). A latch (34) holds the locking device (32, 68) in position. The latch (34) forms a spring-loaded cover (92) surrounding the locking device (32). An operator must manually displace the cover (92) before actuating the locking device (32).
