  • Publication number: 20220258944
Abstract: A package includes a first panel and a second panel. The first and second panels are sealed to each other to form a pouch (200). The pouch includes a main section and a channel section. The package further includes a product disposed within the pouch. The product is capable of flowing from the main section through the channel section to a tip (212) of the pouch. The pouch includes a valve (224) that has a curve extending transversely across the channel section. The curve is configured such that, when the product flows through the curve, the product flows by a convex side of the first panel in the curve and a concave side of the second panel in the curve.

  • Patent number: 11034506
Abstract: A dispenser (5) comprising a body (10) and a removable magazine (11) in which a product pouch (175) is held. The body (10) and magazine (11) form an asymmetric interior volume similar to the shape of the pouch (175). The dispenser (5) includes a grip (28) and actuator (30) at an actuator end and a ratcheting drive system disposed on opposite sides of the interior volume. The drive system applies a symmetric pushing force on a squeeze pusher (32) that is slidably disposed in the interior volume. The squeeze pusher (32) applies pressure to the pouch (175) to dispense the product. The magazine (11) and pouch (175) may be ejected once the squeeze pusher (32) is ratcheted to the dispensing end. Once ejected, the squeeze pusher (32) is disengaged from the drive system. A magazine (11) with a new pouch (175) may be inserted into the body (10), which automatically positions the squeeze pusher (32) at the actuating end and reengages the drive system for further dispensing.

  • Patent number: 9586724
Abstract: An easy-open/reclosable gusseted package includes a reclosure mechanism including a first and second interlocking strip; a die cut in a first panel and in a first and optionally a second gusset. The die cut defines a die cut segment spaced from the first and second ends of the package that can be displaced to open the package and access a contained product between the interlocking strips, the interlocking surfaces being at least partially exposed. The package can be reclosed, after removing the die cut segment, by engaging the interlocking surface of a second portion of the first interlocking strip with itself in the first gusset, and optionally a third portion of the first interlocking strip with itself in the second gusset, folding the package, and engaging the interlocking surface of the second interlocking strip with the interlocking surface of the first portion of the first interlocking strip.
