  • Publication number: 20160255057
Abstract: A method and system are provided for securing telecommunications traffic data. A method is provided for transmitting messages via a telecommunications network between a number of subscribers by means of a telecommunications service, wherein the telecommunications service receives at least one first message of individual first size from at least one first subscriber to the telecommunications service that is intended for at least one second subscriber of the telecommunications service. In reaction to receiving a message, the telecommunications service sends at least one second message to the at least one second subscriber, wherein the at least one second message obtains a second size. The first size cannot be conclusively deduced from the second size.

  • Patent number: 8886231
Abstract: A method carries out mobile communication between a mobile unit and a communications device, which exchange voice messages using a telecommunications protocol. During the method, at least one image can be generated by the mobile unit. In the event that at least one image is generated by the mobile unit, at least this image is transmitted to the communications device. On the part of the communications device, an image object is selected based on the transmitted image, and a position of this image object is determined. The determined position is transmitted by the communications device to the mobile unit, and the mobile unit marks at least one of the images in such a manner that, starting from at least one of the images, which is taken as a basis for the selection of the image object, and from the position, a location of the selected image object is specified for at least one image to be marked and a marking object is superimposed upon at least one of the images at the position.

  • Patent number: 8391187
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for exchanging data between a first and a second communication terminal device (EG1, EG2). The first (EG1) and the second (EG2) communication terminal devices are connected to a data network (DN). In a first step, acoustically coded address information is transmitted by the first to the second communication terminal device (EG2) during a communication connection between the first and the second communication terminal device (EG1, EG2) and, in a second step, the data are transmitted to the first communication terminal device (EG1) from the second communication terminal device (EG2) via the data network using the address information.

  • Patent number: 7277638
Abstract: An add-drop multiplexer has a group filter that divides an incoming WDM signal into several channel groups of corresponding adjacent WDM channels. A reconfiguration module is connected to each channel group. A first type of module makes it possible to perform a manual configuration of the Add-Drop channels and the coupled WDM channel while a second type of module makes it possible to carry out remote configuration. A fourth type of module enables remote configuration of the drop-continue channels.

  • Patent number: 6850706
Abstract: An optical auxiliary signal, produced in a central device, is transmitted in addition to a user signal from the central to a remote optical device via at least two optical supply line fibers which are provided for transmitting optical signals between the central and remote optical devices. The optical auxiliary signal received in the remote optical device is diverted, is transmitted via a second optical supply line fiber to the central optical device, and the reception or the absence of the optical auxiliary signal and of the optical user signal in the central optical device are evaluated in order to monitor the operational state of the optical supply line fibers.

  • Patent number: 5104518
Abstract: Carbonates, oxides, carbides or fluorides of alkaline earth metals are added to coal tar pitches before coking. After the coking, which is preferably carried out by the delayed coking process, this produces coal tar pitch cokes or coal tar pitch needle cokes which have no irreversible expansion or a strongly reduced irreversible expansion upon heating in the temperature range of 1400.degree. to 2000.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 5068026
Abstract: The process produces carbon bodies from coal tar pitch coke which have a strongly reduced or no irreversible thermal expansion in the temperature range of 1400.degree. to 2000.degree. C. Before shaping, a sulphonate, carboxylate or phenolate of an alkaline earth metal which is at least partially soluble in the binder is added to the mixing constituents which consist of particulate coke and a cokable binder as raw materials. After the mixing, shaping and firing, bodies are obtained which have only slight puffing upon graphitization.

  • Patent number: 3980812
Abstract: The invention contemplates an improved method of electronic-image analysis within a field of raster-scanned subject matter in which each scanning line lying within the boundaries of an object to be evaluated supplies by means of a discriminator a binary signal corresponding to the line length between object-boundary intercepts for the particular line. The improvement involves production of a localized search signal synchronized with raster scanning such that the search signal is effectively located within at least part of the scan-line coverage of the object. The search signal is used to control for each scan line the delay time of the binary signal of the same scan line, said delayed binary signal starting an output signal, the delay time of said binary signal being so controlled that it lies between a scan line period T.sub.1 and a minimum time T.sub.2 and depends upon the time interval between the start of said binary signal and of said output signal.
