  • Publication number: 20050090839
Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of surgical apparatus, system and method particularly for the placement and controlled manipulation of threads like in ligatures. The apparatus for the placement and controlled manipulation of at least one thread, like in ligatures, comprises at least two shanks each having a proximal and a distal end. The shanks are connected with each other. The apparatus further comprise at least one guiding means for at least one shank with at least one exit at or in the vicinity of the distal end portion for guiding a free-end of said thread.

  • Patent number: 4448265
Abstract: An electrical component includes an electrical component member mounted centered and adjusted in a cup-shaped housing having a rectangular cross section, the housing having an opening through which lead wires from the electrical component member protrude in the same direction, and hardened sealing compound securing the electrical component member in the cup-shaped housing, the cup-shaped housing of rectangular cross section having at least on two opposite sides thereof, integrally formed tabs consisting of the same material as that of the cup-shaped housing, the tabs being bent into the interior of the cup-shaped housing and resiliently clamping the electrical component member in the housing, the tabs being encased in the hardened sealing compound and serving as centering and adjusting means for the electrical component member, the tabs having a V-shape and forming channels wherein the lead wires of the component member extend.

  • Patent number: 4403381
Abstract: Manufacture of layer capacitors wherein several parent windings are wound on top of each other on a drum with separating layers of plastic wound-in between parent windings. The plastic material protrudes from the face surfaces of the parent windings. The face surfaces are covered with a sprayed metal layer. The parts protruding over the sprayed metal layer are removed before dividing the so-formed starting capacitor. The starting capacitor is opened by at least one radial cut, and divided along the parting lines into single parent capacitors. The parent capacitors or parts of the parent capacitors are sawed to form individual capacitors. The separating layers are made of plastic bands which, after the completion of the starting capacitor are brittle, at least in the regions which protrude from the sprayed metal layer. The protruding parts are brushed away, and the separating layers are removed after the division into single parent capacitors.

  • Patent number: 4339651
Abstract: A method is disclosed for soldering leads to electrical components such as capacitors on which a thin contacting layer of solder metal is provided. The leads are soldered on by pressing them into the contact layer by means of two electrodes. The leads are heated by a current which flows between the electrodes. In order to save material, the leads are contacted by the electrodes along the entire extent to be sealed in to heat them uniformly and to press them into the contact layer. This method is suitable for contacting capacitors whose dielectrics consist of synthetic films and whose coatings consist of regenerable thin metalizations.

  • Patent number: 4179615
Abstract: A Faraday dish for making measurements at a beam path of a heavy ion accelerator comprising a supporting structure, a hollow outer conductor and an inner conductor coaxial with the outer conductor. The outer and inner conductors each have a first portion with an open end facing the beam and a second portion perpendicular to the beam path.

  • Patent number: 4128927
Abstract: A simplified and less expensive method for producing layer capacitors is disclosed in which an output capacitor is produced by winding several master or parent capacitors on a drum one upon the other. The parent capacitors are separated from one another by separating films of synthetic material. These separating films are then cemented to one another and to one of the parent capacitors lying underneath, but not to the parent capacitor lying above. Protruding portions of the separating layers are ground off. The portions of the separating layers remaining serve as protecting covering layers after the separation of the parent capacitors from one another.

  • Patent number: 4041587
Abstract: In the production of electric stack or layer capacitors, which capacitors are produced, in part, by sawing through a mother capacitor, a polyolefin layer is placed on the mother capacitor prior to cutting in order to provide lubrication during cutting and in order to improve the insulation at the cutting edges. The invention is advantageously employed in the production of layer capacitors having polyethylene terephthalate layers as the dielectric.

  • Patent number: 4007520
Abstract: In a process of producing capacitors, synthetic dielectric layers carrying metal layers thereon are wound, in a stretched condition, about a drum to form a mother capacitor. Individual capacitors are then formed from the mother capacitor by sawing, with a rotating saw blade, through the mother capacitor. Due to the heat which is developed during sawing, the stretched layers contract in the region of sawing causing a break up of the metal layers which then oxidize to form insulating islands. This process is improved by applying an insulating lubricant to the saw blade to increase the dielectric strength of the capacitors at the saw cuts.
