Patent number: 6249939Abstract: Method for warping with a cone sectional warping machine, which winds threads in bands on a warping drum, wherein a support for a thread guide comb and the warping drum are displaced in relation to each other in correspondence with the increasing thickness of winding and predetermined warping data. The first band is monitored during a first measuring phase by a roll exerting contact pressure and the monitored displacement path is recorded as a function of the number of rotations of the warping drum. Roll pressure on the winding during the measuring phase is continuously monitored using measuring techniques. Displacement of the support is corrected if monitoring results differ from a predetermined setpoint. In order to even out the formation of the wind, the roll is arranged at a given distance from the warping drum when warping of the first band is started. The monitoring of the roll is automatically started with increasing thickness of the winding as soon as the winding causes the roll to rotate.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 2000Date of Patent: June 26, 2001Inventor: Hubert Kremer

Patent number: 6109557Abstract: Winding device for threads from V-creels, from the bobbins of which the threads are drawn off via pre-looping bars and through a comb, and wound on a winding shaft of the winding device, where the pre-looping bars near the winding device have more threads looped around them and those farther away have fewer, and their degree of looping is centrally adjustable. At least one measuring device is placed beyond the comb in the direction of travel of the threads to determine tension in the threads and central adjustment of the pre-looping bars is controlled in relation to the result of measurement. To permit automatic resetting of the pre-looping bars independently of the material and the running speed of the threads in winding devices of different kinds, the winding device is constructed such that the pre-looping bars are divided at least on one side of a creel into successive functional groups to at least one of which is allocated a measuring device to determine the tension in threads of this group.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 1998Date of Patent: August 29, 2000Assignee: Sucker-Muller-Hacoba GmbH & Co.Inventor: Hubert Kremer

Patent number: 5625934Abstract: In a reeling machine a multiplicity of yarns are pulled from respective supplies and wound up on a beam and each yarn is associated with a sensor which produces an output whose state indicates if the respective yarn is broken or not present. Each sensor is periodically scanned to read the state of its output and the reeling machine is stopped when one of the scanned outputs corresponds to a broken or not present condition of the respective yarn. An output is simultaneously generated indicating exactly which yarn is broken or not present. The sensor are connected to a matrix and the matrix is scanned to read the sensor outputs.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 1996Date of Patent: May 6, 1997Assignee: Sucker-Muller-Hacoba GmbH & Co.Inventor: Hubert Kremer
