Abstract: This invention relates to an improvement in a jumbo aircraft, in particular of high-wing monoplane design, with a fuselage and a retractable and steerable main landing gear and a device for high lift generation, the improvement comprising (a) a plurality of rows of landing gear units mounted along the aircraft fuselage and spread across a range extending predominantly in the longitudinal aircraft direction, the units forming the main landing gear, (b) the landing gear units being of the same design and identical dimensions, and (c) a device for switching-on the lift generating device at predetermined lift conditions together with setting and maintaining a longitudinal attitude of the aircraft or of its landing gear parallel to the taxiway and runway, whereby the take-off phase or the landing phase is performed using the method of direct lift control.

Abstract: In an aircraft arrangement comprising an aircraft fuselage provided with a wing on either side thereof and provided with a propeller propulsion system at the rear of the fuselage, the improvement comprising a propulsion system comprised of at least two independent propulsion units each mounted in its individual lateral fuselage section in a rear fuselage part formed by the central fuselage section originating from the outer contour of the main fuselage section and tapering toward the fuselage end, the lateral fuselage sections having an outer contour tapering in spindle form toward the fuselage rear to the diameter of the propeller spinner of each propulsion unit and propellers on each propulsion unit arranged behind the fuselage and the air frame.

Abstract: This invention relates to an improvement in a retractable landing gear for jumbo aircraft, in particular of the high-wing monoplane design, with a number of steerable landing units which are retractable into wells in the aircraft fuselage, the improvement comprising (a) means mounting a plurality of landing gear unit means which are spread into two or more rows that extend predominantly over a range at the aircraft fuselage running in the aircraft longitudinal direction, (b) said landing gear unit means and frames belonging to the airframe structure being designed in the manner of a grid division in which, between two particular unencroached main frames of the structure, a particular landing gear unit of one row is arranged and including means to retract it into well means between the frames, and (c) all landing gear units being made of identical components and being of the same dimensions.

Abstract: An improvement in an air intake for an aircraft engine, particularly a prop-jet engine, which intake is ring-shaped at the forward part thereof and has a central, non-rotatable body mounted in said intake, which together form an intake diffuser, the improvement comprising a displaceable inlet lip on said intake, said lip being displaceable to sealing contact against said central body and against the direction of air onflow, and said lip in said sealing contact position forming a ring-shaped inlet gap behind said lip.
