  • Patent number: 6042496
Abstract: A power distribution transmission is provided with one mechanical and one hydrostatic power branch mounted in a transmission housing (46) driven via a common drive shaft (1) and accumulated in a coupling gear (5). The coupling gear (5), with its several planet gear sets (9, 10, 22, 41) and couplings (27, 32, 35, 39), is connected to an output shaft (53). The coupling gear (5) is mounted on the drive shaft (1). The last planet gear set (41) of the coupling gear (5) can be connected to forward and reverse couplings (K.sub.v and K.sub.r, respectively) and the couplings K.sub.v and K.sub.r can be connected to the output shaft (53).

  • Patent number: 5301564
Abstract: The gear-change transmission has a closely stepped input group (7) before a main group for fine tuning the speed within a working range. Between the input group (7) and the main group (8) is situated a pressurized-oil cooled drag-torque reducing multi-disc starting clutch (26) so that the gears in both groups can also be easily engaged when using synchronizer positive clutches (18, 20). A reversing shaft (13) for reverse gear is fully integrated in the input group (7) and its gear clutches (F/G) can be introduced with a gear selector (83, 112) the same as for the remaining splitter gears of the input group (7). A change-over clutch (36) for an intermediate transmission (9) is optionally placed directly before the starting clutch (26) operatively and structurally on the primary shaft (32) of the starting clutch (26).

  • Patent number: 5239887
Abstract: The invention concerns a multi-step speed-change transmission. An intermediate transmission (9) is situated between an input group (7) and a main group (8). A double gear (28, 29) forms an additional overdrive. The speed-change transmission according to the invention is provided for use in motor vehicles utilized in agriculture or construction.

  • Patent number: 5115898
Abstract: The spreading apart and keeping apart of the individual disks in friction disk sets or clutches and/or brakes makes it possible to avoid drag torques and the losses of energy caused thereby. Spreading elements, in the form of magnetic bodies (8), which are inserted in disk carriers (1, 10) radially with respect to magnetizable marginal zones of the disks (4, 13) lead to equal polarity in the marginal zones concerned. A reciprocal rejection force of the individual disks (3, 14) in axial direction thereby results. Since the magnetic bodies (8) are firmly introduced in the disk carriers (1, 10), interruptions in operation and difficulties in assembly, the same as special processing of the disks, are avoided. The spreading forces themselves remain equal independently of the position and the speed. When electromagnetic coils (8A) are used, the spreading force can be switched off, for example, when actuating the piston (19) and thus the piston force is kept small.

  • Patent number: 4807732
Abstract: A claw clutch (42) is added in line to a multiple-disc clutch 40. One actuating member 21 engages first the claw clutch 42 and then, almost simultaneously, the multiple-disc clutch 40. Return springs 37 disengage first the multiple-disc clutch 40 and then, almost simultaneously, the claw clutch 40. The multiple-disc clutch 40 can be engaged under full power. A dangerous drag moment of the multiple-disc clutch 40 is active only for a very short time when the clutch system is just being disengaged, immediately thereafter only the harmless redidual moment of the claw clutch 42 remains active.

  • Patent number: 4777837
Abstract: A transmission is provided for transfering power from an input shaft to an output shaft in a large number of ratios derived by the use of main gear groups, a range gear group and a reversing gear. Power is provided by either of two power paths thus making possible shifting under load. A friction clutch selects one or the other of the power paths and synchronizing clutches select which of a plurality of ratios will be provided by the selected path. While driving in one path, the next ratio is selected in the other path and at a selected time power is shifted from one path to the other. Because the transmission provides several ranges of ratios and several ratios in each range including a reverse in each ratio, a vehicle using this transmission may be used for a plurality of tasks and be efficient at each. By using duplicate parts and multiple shafts the transmission can be provided in a compact size and at a reduced cost.

  • Patent number: 4753331
Abstract: A spring apparatus for a positive engagement clutch in which a sliding sleeve is forced into and out of locked engagement with a drive shaft by a spring mechanism. The spring mechanism includes a shift fork containing sliding blocks which engages with a peripheral groove on the sliding sleeve, a prestressing lever, and a spring guide. The spring guide interconnects the shift fork and the prestressing lever. The prestressing lever is capable of being locked in an engaged position in which the spring is compressed until the sliding sleeve engages with the drive shaft, and a disengaged position in which the spring is relaxed and a rigid connection occurs.
