  • Patent number: 9303972
Abstract: A position-measuring device includes a code carrier having a first graduation track and a second graduation track, the second graduation track being an incremental graduation track. A first detector system is configured to scan the graduation tracks so as to generate first position signals. A second detector system is configured to scan the second graduation track so as to generate second position signals. A first position-processing unit is configured to process the first position signals so as to yield a first absolute position value. A second position-processing unit is configured to process the second position signals so as to yield a second absolute position value. The first position-processing unit is configured to feed an absolute auxiliary position value to the second position-processing unit. The second position-processing unit is initializable with the absolute auxiliary position value.

  • Patent number: 5783558
Abstract: The invention concerns parathormone (PTH) fragments including the amino acid range of the natural parathormone of +3 to +35 and their physiologically compatible derivatives, a process for the preparation of the fragments according to the solid phase and liquid phase synthesis from partly blocked amino acids contained in the fragments which are coupled with one another in the sequence which corresponds to the amino acid sequence in the fragments to be prepared and medicaments containing at least one of the fragments, especially with calcium-regulating action in the body.

  • Patent number: 5457092
Abstract: pPTH, bPTH or hPTH is modified by deletions from the natural C- and/or N-terminus. The modified compounds are useful active ingredients in therapeutic compositions. The therapeutic compositions do not stimulate renal adenylate cyclase but, rather, effect chondrocyte proliferation, that is to say, they exhibit a mitogenic and bone-specific effect.

  • Patent number: 4593482
Abstract: A tread substrate or shoe sole for sandals, mules and other footwear includes a plurality of interconnected modular elements which can be joined together. The elements can be made from the same material or plural materials bonded together. The elements are substantially cylindrical and can have different diameters in a single sole structure. Additionally, the elements can be hollow cylindrical bodies and can have differing wall thicknesses and polygonal cross-sections.

  • Patent number: 4312141
Abstract: The cross country skiing boot fitting into a device carrying a plate (8) with preferably one, two or more parallel longitudinal ribs (9) has corresponding parallel depressions (10) in the sole (5). These ribs engage in the depressions and provide lateral guidance for the long distance skiing boot, specifically during descents. The relative movement of the boot (3) with respect to the ski (1) is not impeded during cross country skiing, neither special engagement nor disengagement being unnecessary.

  • Patent number: 4117919
Abstract: An arrangement is provided for forcing and holding apart the disks of a disengaged disk clutch of the type having disks supports with disks rotatably fixed thereto and axially moveable thereon. This apparatus includes centrifugal weights disposed between like disks, which weights are forced radially inwardly by the disks when in the clutched engaged positions, and which disks are moveable radially outwardly by centrifugal forces to press the like disks apart by a predetermined amount when the disks are in a clutched disengaged position. In preferred embodiments, the centrifugal weights are construed as ball members, with a plurality of such ball members disposed between the inner clutch disks and guided for movement by a bore in the inner disk support, while a further set of balls for the outer disk are provided, which are guided by bores through the outer disk, with radial outward limit stops being formed by the outer disk support.
