  • Patent number: 4793408
Abstract: In a device for separating and extracting components having different densities from an effluent as applicable in particular to the separation of oil and water in crude oil, a single pump has the function of sucking the effluent into a separator and maintaining a pressure of higher value than the highest pressure which is necessary for extraction of one of the components. At least one regulator is provided for regulating the delivery of the lower-density component and at least one regulator is provided for regulating the delivery of the other component.

  • Patent number: 4742871
Abstract: A tool-positioning device is composed of a branch assembly in which each branch tube communicates with each branch flow string, an intermediate assembly provided with convergent tubes and a connecting assembly provided with a spline for guiding the connecting assembly with respect to one of the flow strings. An orientation and guiding member is interposed between the intermediate assembly and pumping means housed within a production tube. The orientation and guiding member has a slit which is oriented with respect to the spline in order to have a fixed and invariable position.

  • Patent number: 4286663
Abstract: A pumping rod connecting and disconnecting device comprises: a lower production tubing column and an upper production tubing column having a larger diameter than that of the lower column; a connecting piece provided with a circular seat and a circular groove; a lower assembly mounted onto the upper end of a lower pumping rod column and provided with mounting and locking means, as well as with passage means arranged between the spaces located below and above the device; an upper assembly fixed to the lower end of an upper pumping rod column having a continuous axial conduit; and removable blocking means for blocking the locking means of the upper and lower assemblies, connected to a surface source of hydraulic pressure. The device can be used for pumping by means of floating pumping apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4029289
Abstract: This invention concerns a control system for automatic safety gate-valves.The system comprises two hydraulically controlled pistons, the rod axis of which is parallel to the axis of the valve passage, and a connection by equal connecting rods, symmetrical to the axis of the gate-rod, between each of the piston rods and the gate-rod, with a release spring exerting a force contrary to the opening force acting on each piston. This system is specially designed for automatic gate-valves for oil installations.

  • Patent number: 3954138
Abstract: A safety plug for sealing-off the tubing in a deep producing well comprises a body fitted within the tubing by means of O-ring seals, an axial valve having two heads in opposition which are capable of being applied against top and bottom seatings of the body, and an axial push-rod unit connected to the valve. The push-rod unit as well as the valve are positioned with respect to the body and with respect to the top and bottom seatings by means of shearing-pins, a spring being placed between the valve and the lower end of the body.
