  • Patent number: 8884490
Abstract: A stator (32, 132, 232) or rotor for an electrodynamic machine, in particular for a torque motor acting as an internal or external rotor, comprises a plurality of partly annular plate segments (10, 110, 210) which are stacked in a manner to constitute several partly annular plate segment blocks (34, 134, 234). Combined into a ring, said blocks constitute the stator (32, 132, 232) or rotor the particular adjacent plate segment blocks (34, 134, 234) being mutually clamped by a clamping means. This clamping means already may be integrated into said plate segment blocks or it may be constituted by a housing (145, 245) of which the segments (148, 248) can be clamped against one another. If illustratively the housing (145) is emplaced externally around the stator (132) then the inside diameter of said housing may be varied during installation of the stator (132) or rotor in a manner that the housing may be positioned around the installed plate segment blocks (34, 134) and also may be radially clamped against them.

  • Publication number: 20080157607
Abstract: The present invention relates to a linear unit comprising at least one guide rail 12, at least one substantially U shaped carriage 40 displaceable on the guide rail 12, and a transverse support segment 42 and two lateral leg segments 44, where the segments 42, 44 partly enclose the guide rail 12, further a playfree bearing configured between the guide rail 12 and the carriage 40 and at least two bearing elements and at least two bearing surfaces 14 constituted at the guide rail 12 to brace and guide the bearing elements, and means to adjust the bearing in playfree manner. In the invention, the bearing elements are designed in a manner that they are rotatable relative to the guide rail 12 and the carriage 40 to adjust the bearing in playfree manner. The rotatable design of the bearing elements of the invention assures that they automatically align themselves with respect to the corresponding bearing surfaces when the bearing is being adjusted.

  • Patent number: 5829885
Abstract: A linear motion system (10) comprises circulating balls (38) which run along steel rods (36) and on a shaft (18) within a support (20) of novel design. The latter consists of a light metal base (22) holding pairs of steel rods (36) in longitudinal channels (34) which open out towards the shaft (18). The generally cuboid or -shaped base (22) includes a longitudinal cavity (28) that is laterally joined by at least two ball channels (30) which are placed under a radial angle (.alpha.) relative to each other. The axes of neighboring longitudinal channels (34) are pairwise in planes (N) perpendicular to radial directions (R) in which the balls (38) are tangent to the associated shaft (18). Near outer zones (26) of base (22), set screws (46) are arranged at longitudinal distances (s) for adjustment of the gap width (b) of a slot (40) that opens out towards the cavity (28). Base (22) has an opening (52) associated to each ball channel (30), to be closed by a plug (54), a screw cap, etc.

  • Patent number: 5288151
Abstract: Two shafts (20) of a linear motion guide unit (10) are clamped together on a support (12) with positive line locking by bolts (24) engaging tapped pocket holes (22) inclined an acute angle (.alpha. ) relative to each other, one screw-hole (42) in the support (12) being inclined relative to a neighboring hole or to a mirror-symmetrical pair of counter-holes (44). Rail bodies (14) of aluminium integral with flat bars (30) include a fillet (26) with an adjacent crest (16) and a recessed step (28). Abutting shaft ends (47) may be clamped, by bolting at a counter-hole pair (44), to a through-shaft fixed at a central hole (42) on a single support (12 or 31). A continuous rail body having spaced groups of screw holes (40, 41) may be part of a box-like hollow section (64). In a three-cavity profile (70), two outer hollow sections (64) join a center cavity (71).
