  • Publication number: 20240391215
Abstract: A composite glass includes two glass panes with a glass pane having coated regions and including a glass having SiO2 and B2O3 and a first side and a second side; a coating applied in at least one region of the second side, the coating taking the form of an enamel coating having at least one pigment, a vitreous constituent, and pores; and a polymeric layer disposed between the glass panes, a polymer in the polymeric layer being in uncolored form, and at least a portion of the polymeric layer in the at least one region of the coating at least partly fills the pores of the coating so a color locus of the composite glass in the at least one region in which the coating is applied given in the CIEL*a*b* system where L* is at most and a* and b* are each in a range between +5 and ?5.

  • Publication number: 20240327272
Abstract: A glass sheet includes a glass including SiO2 and B2O3 and at least one coating applied in at least one region of at least one side of the glass sheet. The at least one coating includes at least one binder including SiO2 and at least one pigment. The at least one coating includes less than 500 ppm of Bi2O3 and/or less than 500 ppm of ZnO and/or less than 500 ppm of B2O3 and/or less than 500 ppm of an alkali metal oxide, based in each case on weight.

  • Publication number: 20240278538
Abstract: The invention relates to a glass sheet, in particular a glass sheet obtained by separation from a preferably floated glass ribbon formed by hot forming, in particular comprising a borosilicate glass, with a length of at least 1.15 m and a width of at least 0.85 m, with a thickness d of at least 0.5 mm, preferably at least 0.7 mm, and at most 7 mm, and uses thereof.

  • Publication number: 20240254040
Abstract: A glass element includes a glass surface including a surface structuring with a structured region of the glass surface that, owing to glass removal, has a higher roughness than an adjoining unstructured region of the glass surface, the structured region having a mechanical stress profile which can be measured by stress birefringence. The structured region has a compressive stress on the glass surface that is higher in absolute terms than a stress in the adjoining unstructured region. At least one of the following is satisfied: the compressive stress becomes smaller in absolute terms with increasing depth and transitions into a tensile stress, a maximum tensile stress being smaller in absolute terms than the compressive stress on the glass surface; or the compressive stress has a value of less than 5 MPa in absolute terms on the glass surface and becomes smaller in absolute terms with increasing depth.

  • Patent number: 11712868
Abstract: A vehicle glass sheet is provided that includes a borosilicate glass with a thickness between 1.1 mm and 5.4 mm and a two-dimensional area for a sensor assigned to this two-dimensional area. The two-dimensional area has an inclination (?) with respect to an upward direction (S) perpendicular to a main direction of movement (V) of the vehicle that is in a range between 35° and 65°.

  • Publication number: 20230123130
Abstract: Coated glass panes having a glass pane and a coating in at least one region of at least one side of the glass pane. The glass pane is composed of glass with SiO2 and B2O3. The coating includes first coating applied in at least one region of the at least one side. The first coating has a binder with SiO2 and a pigment. The glass pane, in the at least one region, has a flexural strength between at least 5 and at most 170 MPa.
