  • Patent number: 5199468
Abstract: The weft yarn clearing device is of use for an automatic method of clearing weft breakages in projectile looms. In the event of the yarn breakage in the shed, the weft yarn is engaged in the shed by at least one gripper element, then supplied to the inlet of an extractor and placed between the rollers of a pair of draw-off rollers. The rollers draw the weft yarn out of the shed and the weft yarn is simultaneously supplied by the extractor to a collecting receptacle. The clearing device can also be used for a yarn breakage before the shed.

  • Patent number: 4601313
Abstract: An auxiliary member or accessory serves to reduce or limit the length of a weaving reed for the purpose of adapting it to the desired weaving width, so that the same reed can be used for differing weaving widths. The auxiliary member or accessory can be a stretching device or a detection device for the inserted weft threads. A flange of the auxiliary member is inserted between two reed lamallae or dents and is fixed on the rear side of the read by means of a locking element.
