  • Patent number: 8033480
Abstract: Fastening for a rail and arrangement for fastening of rails The invention relates to a fastening for a rail for securing a rail (10) whose foot is resting on a concrete sleeper (16), comprising at least one elastic clip (20) having several legs of which at least one leg extends inside a shoulder (42, 44) or channel of a holder (24) that is connected to the concrete sleeper, and at least one further leg rests on the rail foot. For securing a rail to the necessary extent with simple design means and in space-saving form, it is suggested that the holder (24, 26) is arranged detachably in the concrete sleeper (16) or in a plate element resting thereon and is connected to the concrete sleeper by a bolt element.

  • Patent number: 7874527
Abstract: A rail fastening apparatus fastens an inner stock rail in a railway slide chair assembly. The apparatus includes a base plate. The base plate has on one face a rail seat region on which the inner stock rail sits when the slide chair assembly is in use. A resilient rail fastening clip restrains the inner stock rail. A locating means locates the rail fastening clip in a first position. A loading means vertically deflects the clip so as to produce a load in a toe portion of the clip.

  • Patent number: 6601518
Abstract: The invention relates to a system for securing and/or controlling the final position of a tongue rail (14) that can be adjusted in relation to a rigid rail (12). A catch element extends from said tongue rail and interacts with a lever element in such a manner that in the respective final position of the tongue rail the latter is supported and the position of the tongue rail is measured.

  • Patent number: 6409092
Abstract: A superstructure arrangement for a track comprising a rail fastened to a securing device such as a ribbed plate which is disposed above a concrete sleeper, with an intermediate layer extending between the sleeper and the securing device. The rigidity of the intermediate layer is variable and rated so that at the maximum permissible stress in the rail, caused by bending under wheel lead, the elastic property changes to substantially non-elastic.

  • Patent number: 6068196
Abstract: An expansion joint for part of a railway track arranged on a foundation has a stock rail with a stock rail head and a tongue movable with respect to and along said stock rail head, upon which at least one fastening device acys for pressing it on the stock rail. This expansion joint enables the rail foot to be lingitudinally moved with little friction and excludes tipping of the stock rail or tongue. For that purpose, the tongue is not bolted, but pressed only against the stock rail by the fastening device, and the force thus transmitted is decomposed into components that act, on the other hand, in the direction of the foundation and, on the other hand, in the direction of the stock rail head. The force is transmitted by a rolling element extending from a shaft which is anchored to the foundation.

  • Patent number: 5647280
Abstract: The invention relates to a rail line, in particular for a high-speed magnetic train, comprising supports (10) constituting the rail line, which are placed on girders (12, 14) originating on opposite sides (34, 36) of the support and assigned to it in pairs and rest on the ground (16) or a foundation. To achieve an orientation of the rail line in the desired amount, it has been proposed that the girders (12, 14), which are assigned in pairs to each other, have a distance at the ground which is less than that at the supporting end, wherein the girders, controlled to the necessary extent, are adjustable in a plane extending vertically in respect to the linear axis of the rail line (18) in such a way that the rail line extends inclined in respect to the horizontal line.

  • Patent number: 5605281
Abstract: A support system for a rail section which bridges the gap between foundations which are relatively movable auxiliary rails running parallel to the rail across the sleepers which are supported by the foundation, and underpinning supports providing a stiff connection between rail and auxiliary rails. The underpinning supports move in response to relative movement of the foundation so that undesirable rail bending is avoided.

  • Patent number: 5522570
Abstract: Rail construction including laterally adjacent frog sections with guard rails outwardly spaced to each side thereof by interposed liners. The components are interconnected by a transverse tightened bolt with vertical misalignment precluded by either nesting projections on adjacent abutting faces of the components or by a rigid, preformed sleeve press-fit within the bore receiving the bolt, the sleeve extending through the frog sections and at least partially through the liners.
