    Abstract: In the blending of gasoline a knock testing engine is automatically fed samples of the blended fuel and a standard fuel. The blending is controlled to maintain the knock intensity of the blended fuel at a standard value. Fuel sampling means are provided to minimize the time lag between blending and knock intensity determination.
