  • Publication number: 20130006115
Abstract: An ultrasonic image scanning system for scanning an organic object by projecting ultrasound signals with a transmit carrier frequency. The ultrasonic image scanning system includes a switching mode power supply operated with a programmable clock in synchronization with the transmit carrier frequency. The switching mode power supply further provided with circuits for generating a low voltage and a high voltage. The ultrasonic image scanning system further includes transducers for projecting ultrasound signals wherein the transducers are connected to and electrically excited by the high voltage generated by the switching mode power supply. The switching mode power supply further includes a DC-to-DC switcher having an external clock input for clock synchronization.

  • Publication number: 20080119735
Abstract: A method for generating a dedicated M beam profile which allows the user to offset the beam origin or steering angle for the cardiology application; display the M line with or without the B mode on the screen; and the M line does not use any of the same beam profile from B line, or is created out of the acquired B lines as a virtual M line.

  • Patent number: 6520915
Abstract: An ultrasound imaging system capable of generating a flow image from B-mode echo frames. For each location in a target region, phase information is derived from the B-mode echo frames, and frame-to-frame changes in the phase information are processed to detect the presence of fluid flow at that location. A demodulator receives the B-mode echo frames and demodulates them into baseband signal components from which the phase information is derived. Preferably, the demodulator is highly accurate and robust, such that frame-to-frame changes in the phase information are reliably measured. From the reliably measured phase information, a phase shift metric is then computed and thresholded by a user-adjustable threshold value. Flow is present if the phase shift metric is greater than the threshold value and is absent otherwise.
