  • Publication number: 20240068196
Abstract: A wedge locking element (10) for a locking device of a quick coupler A for coupling the pin P2 of an attachment to earth working machinery. The wedge locking element (10) has a sloping wedge surface (13). Projecting from the wedge surface (13) is an engagement surface (12) with which the attachment pin P2 can engage but not apply any substantial driving force to the wedge locking element (10) in the event of failure of a force maintaining the wedge locking element (10) in a position where the pin P2 is retained with the coupler A. The pin engagement surface (12) lies in a plane that is substantially in line with the direction in which the locking element (10) is, in use, moved by the driving force.

  • Patent number: 11745043
Abstract: A lock mechanism which can be placed on a shaft, such as a bar or pole, in either a first direction or second direction, is secured to the shaft using two sets of balls which project out of apertures in an inner cylinder to frictionally engage the shaft. The balls are selectively retractable from their projecting position to allow the inner cylinder to slide on and/or be removed from the shaft. Biasing members, such as wavy springs, bias the two sides of the lock mechanism towards one another. In the locked configuration, the balls are forced by inclined surfaces within the two sides to project outwardly from the inner hollow cylinder. The inclined surfaces are aligned with two rows of apertures in the inner hollow cylinder, and they are inclined in opposite directions. Thus, either way the lock mechanism is installed or placed on the shaft, the balls will project out of the apertures in the inner hollow cylinder and will securely engage the shaft.

  • Patent number: 8089486
Abstract: A 3D graphics pipeline includes a prefetch mechanism that feeds a cache of depth tiles. The prefetch mechanism may be predictive, using triangle geometry information from previous pipeline stages to pre-charge the cache, thereby allowing for an increase in memory bandwidth efficiency. A z-value compression technique may be optionally utilized to allow for a further reduction in power consumption and memory bandwidth.

  • Patent number: 8081182
Abstract: By locating the depth buffer of a 3D graphics rasterization pipeline in a dedicated high speed memory, bandwidth on a main bus can be eliminated that would otherwise result from hidden surface removal (HSR) hardware contained in the pipeline. Also, by reordering of read and write access commands to the depth buffer memory, it is possible to improve memory access throughput otherwise impacted by an increased latency of a read access.

  • Patent number: 7551786
Abstract: A system and method in a multi-channel detection system for multi-rate filter bank applications for converting overlapping rectangular two-dimensional (2D) regions into a new set of non-overlapping rectangular regions for the efficient reconstruction of a signal wherein each non-overlapping region has a maximum extent in a major dimension is described. Overlapping regions are split into marked regions in a non-uniform grid and merged along the major dimension and along the minor dimension to form non-overlapping regions wherein no two non-overlapping rectangular regions have an adjacent edge orthogonal to the major dimension thereby increasing the efficiency of data compression and reducing error-rates.

  • Patent number: 7362325
Abstract: This patent discloses a system and method to compile a set of display points that define a two dimensional representation of a straight line graphic object using three dimensional rasterization algorithms. In one embodiment, a three dimensional (3D) graphics accelerator may receive data. The data may define three vertices (x0, y0, K0), (x1, y1, K1), and (x2, y2, K2) of a triangle primitive. Attributes K2=(K0+K1)/2 and coordinates (x0, y0), (x1, y1), and (x2, y2) form an isosceles triangle primitive. Coordinates (x0, y0) and (x1, y1) define a base of the isosceles triangle primitive. The isosceles triangle primitive may be rendered using the three dimensional rasterization algorithms to obtain the set of display points that define a two dimensional representation of the base of the isosceles triangle primitive.

  • Patent number: 6931362
Abstract: A technique for blind source separation (“BSS”) of statistically independent signals with low signal-to-noise plus interference ratios under a narrowband assumption utilizing cumulants in conjunction with spectral estimation of the signal subspace to perform the blind separation is disclosed. The BSS technique utilizes a higher-order statistical method, specifically fourth-order cumulants, with the generalized eigen analysis of a matrix-pencil to blindly separate a linear mixture of unknown, statistically independent, stationary narrowband signals at a low signal-to-noise plus interference ratio having the capability to separate signals in spatially and/or temporally correlated Gaussian noise. The disclosed BSS technique separates low-SNR co-channel sources for observations using an arbitrary un-calibrated sensor array.

  • Publication number: 20030228017
Abstract: A transmitted signal exploits unique higher order statistics of temporally dependent waveforms to encode message symbols with unique durations enabling low power transmission of the covert message. The message is independent of the characteristics or encoded data of the transmitted waveform. The method uses spatial fourth order cumulants or spatial second order moments in a Blind Source Separation and generalized eigenvalue decomposition to determine unique matrix pencil eigenvalues. Sequential detection in successive blocks determine the duration of the eigenvalue. The durations of the detected eigenvalues are sorted sequentially and can be sorted spatially by Steering vectors, AoA or geolocation into signal tracks that are mapped to recover the transmitted cover message. Generation of the transmitted signals with unique high order statistics may be accomplished using combination of noise generators, temporal filters, signal sources, combiners and switches.
